Sweetheart Garden Restaurant — Local services in Hong Kong

Nope never again.

Though there were plenty of waiters on shift, you can immediately tell that probably only 1 staff was really working. Had to wave to / ask 3 different waiters before 1 came to take our orders unwillingly.

Then had to chase 3 more times for a bowl of white rice as the waiter standing at neighbouring table pretended not to hear us nor see us wave at him.

Food was alright for its price, hints of childhood memories lingering. But nope, never again at this branch nor other branded of Sweetheart Garden due to their horrendous service.

Suggestion for restaurant: why don't you implement QR code system like others, to save yourself hiring some crazy waiters who rather rid of your customers than serving them.

Another childhood memory restaurant completely ruined by this...

I am giving 3 stars for the food quality and price, but only one star for the service. When I entered the restaurant, there was no reception. I had to look for waiter who impatiently told me to sit anywhere. Then, I had to find someone who is willing to take my food order. A moment later, someone brought the food, but shouted that I should give way so he could lay down the plate. I asked for some water, and then came a glass of HOT water.

I was not expecting this...

It wasn't exactly great when it first opened. But after a few years it just got worse and worse. The food quality is worse than average cha chaan teng but the price is like a double.

The staff aren't exactly nice either. They are either wooden or lowkey snobbish.

Well no wonder this once renowned chain steakhouse is having their branches closed...
