蟹籽鮮蝦燒賣 Shrimp and Pork Dumplings with Flying Fish Roe (Siew Mai) 4 Pieces = HKD36.00 晶瑩鮮蝦餃 Steamed Shrimp Dumplings (Har Gow) 4 Pieces = HKD36.00 脆皮鮮蝦腸 Crispy Rice Flour Rolls with Shrimp = HKD38.00 No Service Charge
This was a Nice Modern Aircon Dim Sum place. It was Quite Crowded and the Staffs were Friendly and Welcoming. This is also One of the Few Rare Larger Eateries where they not only don't have Service Charge, they also don't impose any Mandatory Tea Charge.
Cheong Fun was up after 7 mins and both Siew Mai and Har Gow was served another 3 mins later. Not Bad Timing for how crowded it was.
脆皮鮮蝦腸 Crispy Rice Flour Rolls with Shrimp = HKD38.00
The Condiment Sauce provided for CCF was a Sweetish Soy Sauce. I Especially Appreciated that the Auntie Staff nicely recommended not to lum the Sauce all over the CCF when she saw me wanting to take Photos of it. Because while it may look Appetizing on Photos, it will cause the CCF to become more Nua Nua affecting my Dining Experience.
This shows that not only is she Showing Care for the Customer, but she is also Proud of the Dishes they produce here. A Lesser Staff would have simply Bochup and let me lum the Sauce all over already. This is an Exceptional Customer Service Attitude.
The CCF Dough Skin had a Sublimely Soft Melt in Mouth Quality. Within is a Very Crispy Deep Fried Skin and all of them were wrapping a Big Piece of Juicy Fat Prawn.
It was Delightful to bite through and enjoy the Alternate Soft and Crispy Texture of this CCF. Really Love this Super Smooth CCF Skin, its One of the Best I've eaten.
蟹籽鮮蝦燒賣 Shrimp and Pork Dumplings with Flying Fish Roe (Siew Mai) 4 Pieces = HKD36.00
I liked that this was served in 4 Pieces. The Siew Mai Wanton Skin was Fragile though, and in fact So Fragile that it broke too easily. The Filling within was a Mix of Minced Meat + Solid Meat Pieces and it was Super Meaty and Juicy.
I liked that the Fish Roe on this Siew Mai was Very Clearly and Prominently shown unlike most other Siew Mai where they put only a little bit just for show only.
This is also the first Siew Mai i've eaten that there are Bone Pieces within so if you eat this you need to take care. Overall a Nice Siew Mai and I would've scored it higher if the Wanton Skin did not break.
晶瑩鮮蝦餃 Steamed Shrimp Dumplings (Har Gow) 4 Pieces = HKD36.00
The Har Gow Skin was Soft and thankfully didn't break easily. It really is Very Soft and Smooth. The Filling in this were Very Impressive 2 Big Fat Prawns which was got to be One of the Best and Generous Filling I've ever seen for a Har Gow. Not Overly Prawny and Delightfully Juicy.
Personally, I feel Log Ye Dim Sum that I reviewed previously has a Nicer Har Gow Skin, while this place has a Much More impressive Har Gow Filling. Both are Equally Good.
I also met a Pair of Japanese Mother and Son Travellers and we struck up a Friendly Conversation. This is their first time visiting Hong Kong and eating Dim Sum so I recommended Siew Mai and Har Gao as the 2 Most Basic Ones to order when eating Chinese Dim Sum.
I dunno whether they were patronizing me, but they kept saying "Sugoi, Sugoi!" (Amazing, Amazing!) when eating their Siew Mai. Hahaha!
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
Total Combined Price of HKD110 (S$19.00) for everything I ordered is certainly on the Higher Side compared to Log Ye Dim Sum I reviewed previously. However, I still felt that this was worth the money as there are No Service Charge or Mandatory Tea Charge and you are actually served more Dim Sum Pieces overall.
Not only were the Foods Delicious and made at a High Quality, I am Impressed by how the Staff showed me the Pride she has for their Dishes, and how Caring she was when advising me not to lum the Sauce in case it becomes Nua Nua for me. This is an Amazing Customer Service Attitude.
This was an Amazing Dining Experience and I truly enjoyed my time here. Highly Recommended!

Read moreI am updating my feedback about this restaurant based on my experience yesterday. I am keeping my previous reviews intact below the line as I hope the owner notices the drop in the customer satisfaction. I and my family genuinely liked this restaurant, the service and food options. But yesterday when we visited the place with more family friends, we were shocked to see very rude behavior of the staff. I don't think the staff are local hk people and their apathy towards service was apparent. I was thirsty and took out my water bottle to take a sip and one of the staff reacted in a very animated way that outside food and drinks not allowed. I was surprised to hear this for someone just having water. It was not my juice or beer just water. I explained to her that 'drinks' in the rule always means non water, but surely coz of her lack of proper awareness , she kept shouting not to drink my water. And in a very agitated way shouted that she will add 20$ per person. Whereas she doesn't even understand that they don't even sell water separately.
The menu has also got worse with fewer options in veg, chicken.
I don't think I will visit the place anymore after facing this bad behavior of staff.
Owner of restaurant, please note and take action to retain your customer base.
This a hong kong local dim sum which is my and my family's favorite. Love the dim sums at the price they offer. The staff ladies are very nice. Post covid it was very deserted most of the times but very glad to see the place getting back to normal business. Happy for these...
Read moreOur first time and our first meal in Mong Kok. This was supposed to be a special family trip, but it is now tainted with the memory of such a horrid dining experience in this specific Dim Dim Sum branch. I can understand culture, but there is a thin line between that and blatant disrespect. Imagine being a tourist dining with two young kids, you're tired, hungry, and just trying your very best to manage your kids as well as actually get to eat. Naturally, young kids will get upset and whine, but it was not like they were throwing a full blown tantrum. We were doing all we could to calm them down but kept getting malicious looks and hushes from the restaurant owner herself. And of course, before we eat, we have to feed our kids first. So of course it would take a little extra time to dine. After countless times of staring at us indifferently, making us feel pressure and discriminated, she finally approached us and told us, "Sorry, time's up. You have to leave" WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING. And mind you, it's not like we just ordered a dish or two, we had tables worth of food and we couldn't even enjoy it nor finish it without feeling harrassed, just because of our children. There wasn't even a waiting line, it seemed like she simply asked us to leave out of pure annoyance of our kids, who again, were just being kids and weren't turning into red raging fits.
The woman I presume is the store owner is short, stout, and has shoulder length hair. Will never dine with you again and next time, might as well pit up a note that kids are not welcome and you have a...
