Pro: near to Mong Kok MRT station (300m) and the ladies market||Cons:||1. Knowing how small the rooms in HK guesthouse are, I decided to booked the 3 beds room type although we're only party of 2, hoping that we can have the extra space that way but THE ROOM we got WAS NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES they put on the website. There's a wall cutting through the double bed and another one in the bed's corner. |When we asked about this, first, through the booking.com asssistant (because we booked it through the website and never saw anyone manned the receptionist except when we checked in) the reply we got was that a) the picture is just for reference, b) the room allocation is assigned by computer (???)|After the 2nd night (we stayed there for 3 nights), we met the housekeeper lady who speaks good English and found out that there are only 2 rooms in the motel with 3 beds but the other room guest was going to check out that morning. So we asked if we could switched room (because it was obviously the room that they used for the advertisement) and she pointed us to their assistant director, a guy named Mathew, who was very arrogant. |He said that there's no other room for 3 beds available other than ours. When we said we knew that there's another room that was going to be available later that day, his response was because we booked through the website so our room was cheaper than if we booked it directly through phone with them. Therefore, basically what he was saying that we can only have our room. And there's already another guest who will check in to the 3 beds room later that day but they booked it directly with the motel and so they can have the 'real bedroom'. ||2) The motel is in a run down building that's very messy and doesn't look safe at all. The rooms look as old as the building||3) They have a central water heater. So you have to turn on the water heater directly from the pannel board behind the receptionist area or ask the receptionist to turn it for you (but no one will be in at the receptionist until 10am)||4) You are not allowed to throw your tissue towel into the toilet and the toilet's suction didn't work well||5) There's a dummy window in our room with no view and it could feel rather claustrophobic if you stay quite long inside the room.||6) The wall is paper thin and you can hear all the noises coming in from outside. The permanent residents in the other side of the building seems like to gather until dusk and they can be quite loud even at wee hours of the morning...

I have communicated with the staff and sent a picture of the room that I wanted to book before I reached HK. They replied that they would try their best.||After I reached HK, a coffin-size room was given with 3 sides of the bed attached to the wall. You can not open up your arms in the room. Your head is out of the bathroom when you sit on the toilet bowl. I started to laugh at myself by not believing what I have read online. No shower head holder. I requested to change room. And the staff 'taught' me to take shower by holding the shower head with one hand. And she refused to change the room. And what's worse, after 15 mins the warm water turned cold and the bathroom sink was clogged. Water started flow out. So I quickly wrapped myself up and got out of the bathroom and requested they shall changed the room again. And she refused to change that again. I got a cold immediately after the shower. Lucki I stayed in the same room for 2 nights and they finally agreed to change another room for me. ||This is so far the worst motel I have lived. Trust me other than a relative convenient location, you got nothing. It is not worthy to spend 60+ dollars to spoil your holiday. ||I have stayed in Mei Mei Motel for 5 nights. And this is the beginning of my 2-week trip in HK and Macau. You can image how bad it was. ||I recommend Mei Ho House (YHA) if you want to enjoy your...

Ladies Market is almost directly under your window and the MTR is little more than 3 mins walk away.||The bathroom is a standard Asian style, that being small, with the hand held shower over the top of the toilet. Toiletries were supplied and everything compact neat and clean. ||There is very little space for luggage, so be mindful of this. Sheets are clean and the aircon worked wonders in the heat.||Finding the motel can be a challenge. Although the street name is Argyle, the entrance is on a side street. There is one lift to service many floors and a very stern lift guard who will not allow anyone to wait in the corridor, regardless of their reasons. Only two European sized people with one bag will fit in the lift at anytime. Expect to wait up to 20 mins for a lift. Your alternative is some very steep, grubby stairs, littered with rubbish and filth. ||For the location, price and safety, we were more than happy with...
