Heichinrou falls under the spectrum of more premium dim sum, and it definitely does not disappoint. The BBQ pork buns are probably one of the best I've tried in HK - the balance between pork stuffing and BBQ sauce is perfect. It's not too salty nor too sweet. And the bun in itself is fluffy! The crystal shrimp and veggie dumpling is my favorite, I prefer this over the classic hargaw. The XLB was a little dry, not much soup inside the dumpling which was a bit disappointing. But this was made up with the black sesame and coconut pudding I ordered for dessert. If you like black sesame, do order this! It's soo delicious!
It did take a long time for food to arrive, but my dad says it's because the dishes are prepared made to order so that they are piping hot on arrival. True true, but not when you're hungry and dying for some steamy dim sum. I also ordered spring rolls at the end (with desserts) but it never arrived. Turns out it was never inputted into the system for our table...
