Lemna of The Alchemist — Restaurant in Kowloon

Came here for my anniversary. (so, it's a fancy $$$ place) Absolutely delightful. Where to start - carbonara, creamy, with actual pancetta. Flavorful. Wish there was a bigger portion. The ribeye steak? Good, I suppose. I'm not a huge steak enjoyer. The snack- wagyu marinated in red wine dipping sauce with tortillas.. Not as I expected. The tortillas are not crunchy and a bit soft. Not sure if that was the intention. The sauce.. Well, it's wagyu slices within the sauce. I expected pull apart wagyu so it would be suitable to be put on tortilla chips. Also there was only 6 chips which seems very little for a such a large dip. The flavor was good enough. Last but not least we ordered a hot mint chocolate milk. I've drunk mint chocolate drinks before with little to no flavor. This drink had a clear taste of peppermint and chocolate. It is a heavy drink, as expected of drinks comprised mostly of milk.

The atmosphere was positively wonderful. The ambiance - it was dim, we were sat next to the window where there was a tunnel outside and a super shallow 'river' with mosaic tiles on the wall of said tunnel. The bright lights shone on the mosaic tiles reflected nicely into our dim seating, which is why it was positively romantic, in my opinion.

Service was great, tended to our needs quickly, helped us take pictures.

Recently Visited Again! Tried 3 New dishes included one existing dish.

l loved the grilled Norway salmon fish., well cooked and juicy taste. Enjoyed the garnish and delicious house made white sauce and come with a slice of grilled pumpkin.

Despite not being a fan of sea food, Lemna Spanish Paella deserve full credit, soft cook artistic rice, and love the rice, well combination of sea food with two big tiger prawn, absolutely worth it.

Very good Pizza Margarita, However, I won't say it is one of the best pizza. However, taste is ordinary and relatively nice. I hope they can work on improving the taste.

This is the second time I have tired Beetroot Cured Salmon with Horseradish Cream Burrata Cheese, and it is one of my favourites. However, I like the old version which was offered in January 2023. I still can feel the taste of the old one. This time the salmon slice was too thick, and the flavour of the cheese didn't meet my expectation. Stumbled upon this bar late on a Saturday evening walking along the harbourfront. Very vibey, dark lit ambience and buzzing atmosphere with many people dotted around the place. There weren’t any seats left but the waitress moved a small table and 2 chairs from the cafe over for us so we could be seated. I thought this was a very nice gesture so we didn’t have to wait - definitely 5 stars for service. It operates as a cafe during the day (will be back to visit) and a bar in the evening. The drinks menu offers a unique selection of cocktails and some classic cocktails too. However we chose the non-alcoholic drinks on this occasion and were pleasantly surprised at how refreshing and delicious they were. The standout was the peach oolong which had a nice balance of tea and fruity flavours without being overbearingly sweet. We also ordered some duck fat fries which were a tad salty hence 4/5 stars, but were crispy and a generous portion served with tomato sauce. Definitely will be back to try the cafe during the day and would come back to the bar...
