Chiuchow Garden (Tsim Sha Tsui) — Restaurant in Kowloon

I have been a regular customer, but the recent visit was a real disappointment. Half the menu was not available. The staff promised to serve us rice after the dishes were being served. Instead, the rice came before everything else. So we returned the rice because we would want it to be warm by the time other main dishes were there. However, they just put the rice 3 metres away aside, right next to the way which leads to the wash room, it's just very unhygienic. The main dishes were almost inedible, the fish was filled with bones above all things else. Chicken dish got cancelled last minute citing unavailability. The greens were not okay as well. All in all, not a pleasant experience. If this one is such a let down. I wouldn't even consider the other two restaurants of the same group within the same building. I mean Chouchow Garden is a good restaurant, but not...

We were being recommended by a HK Friend to have our dinner there. We were impressed by the environment and ambient there. However we are very disappointed by the poor service. When the first dish was served, the waitress told us to quickly finish our food so that we could get lost faster. We were stunted by such remarks. We didn't expect the dishes to be served so fast. Their serving was so quick that the table was filled with most dishes.

We ordered HK$2,380 and the total cost for this dinner is HK$2,782.80 which is equivalent to SGD485.00 for 8 pax.

How can we appreciate the good food if our mood was badly being affected at the beginning? Sad that we didn't enjoy our dinner that night.

Disappointing service. The restaurant was quite empty and had plenty of other tables. We were sat next to the kitchen door which was dark and loud.

When we asked to change to a different table we were told they were having a banquet “soon” but there were still non-banquet patrons there when we left the restaurant.

And then during our time they sat someone else at the area they said was “off-limits”. Yikes.

My bowl also had a cockroach leg stuck to it. 🤢 Food was average.
