Clean and decent. Not so much for food though.
Ramen with half-cooked egg - I went for thicker soup while keeping the green onion and pickled bamboo shoot. Half-cooked egg really captured the authentic flavour and texture. So good I believe they use eggs directly imported from Japan. Bamboo shoot also enjoyable. Barbecue pork is kinda boring. Feel like tasting everything at 70% and you really wish it can improve. Not much impressed by the noodle or soup unfortunately. Perhaps the water had limited the possibilities. Fried chicken - sorry but this was one of the worst Japanese fried chicken I ever had in my life. Not crispy at all. More like you are gulping oil down when you are chewing a piece of chicken. Read moreWaited some 30 minutes at 1.30pm in a holiday. It was not full house. Just there was one waiter to serve the entire floor. This lack of service is driving people away.
Anyway back to the food, the thick soup was sold out so we could only choose from other options. Thin pork and little shrimps we opted. They were both very good. No MSG reaction afterwards as some people reported. May be that was on thick soup mostly.
The needles were so-so as I am not a great friend of that. But the true-bbq-pork really made a difference. The tenderness and taste in slow-cook meat were fully revealed in those thin-cuts.
