You can expect the taste of the food here to resemble the ones you can find in Thailand, but it’s definitely not the most delicious version. (Not that bad but also not that good)
I ordered two dishes from here.
🍻 ผัดขี้เมา (Pad Kee Mao a.k.a. Drunken Noodles) for 60 HKD There are different types of noodles you can pick for the dish. I chose เส้นเล็ก (Sen Lek) which is typically made from rice. It is bouncy and chewy. I ordered the vegan version of this dish. Straw mushrooms and fried cubed tofu were put instead of meat. The taste is good but less spicy than the ones you get in Thailand. However, it was ridiculously oily that I felt like I was just finished applying lip oil on my lips. The lettuce that came with the dish was soaked in oil. The portion size is good and I’d say it’s super affordable and not expensive at all compared to other places in Hong Kong.
🎉 รวมมิตรน้ำกะทิ (Ruammitr in Coconut Milk) for 29 HKD This is a Thai dessert/drink with iced coconut milk base. It came with Lodchong, Lukchid, Tubtimkrob, and jackfruit. The taste was quite balanced, not too sweet, too bland, or too salty. However, it still lacks some kind of refreshing elements even though jackfruit was there. The Lodchong (Green noodles ; cendol) had quite a weird texture. I feel like they were somewhere between normal Lodchong and all Lodchong Singapore, which left me confused LOL. The Tubtimkrob (Crunchy rubies ; pink/red-dyed water chestnut pieces with clear tapioca starch coating) was not that refreshing. I didn’t feel the crunch that I should be feeling when eating tubtimkrob made from fresh water chestnuts. Overall, I can’t say this is a perfect version of this dessert, but at least it’s not too bad. I can still finish the whole thing without feeling so bad about it....
Read moreThis is one of my family favourite restaurant here! Their garlic bread with curry dip is the bomb! It's so good that as soon as it arrived, it went like hot cakes. That’s why I didn't even have a chance to grab a picture of it. Their roasted chicken, shrimp sashimi, pad thai noodles, pork neck, papaya salads, grapefruit salad, and tong yum soup are all our usual orders as well. 🥰

Read moreI searched for chicken version of pad kra pao which is my favourite simple Thai for lunch. I came for their pad kra pao chicken. I found chicken skin that I have to pick them out. The reason I like chicken version is I don’t like the fatty bits of pork. I usually expect chicken breast meat being used instead. We also ordered the chicken wings which turned out to be extremely dried. Overall a bit...
