*After leaving this review (below), the owner of the restaurant found my personal phone number and called me. Very unprofessional and honestly quiet shocking the way they disrespect privacy. Just to point out that no contact information was given to them.
This is harassment and completely unacceptable. When asked how he obtained my phone number, he simply said “Macau is a small place”.
The way that this was handled by the owner was disgraceful and certainly not a way to run a business or treat people in general (never mind paying customers).
Very shady indeed.
[original review "Been coming here off an on for the last few years and it always seems to be a hit or miss situation.
On my latest visit gli spaghetti alla puttanesca dish was good and full of flavour. The pizza on the other hand was terribly disappointing. It was extremely dry and best described as a frozen pizza from a supermarket that costs 1-2 euros.
One of the waiters politely asked how the food was and I had to be honest and say that the pasta was good however the pizza was very hard and dry. His solution to this was to offer adding bottled hot sauce (tabasco) to the pizza as if that would somehow help the situation.
Needless to say the pizza (minus perhaps 1 slice to try) remained uneaten. I was very surprised that no further effort was made to remedy the situation. Perhaps a replacement for the pizza or even a small desert as a gesture of good will?
Overall, quite mixed feelings about the whole experience and sadly not in a rush to return, especially for...
Read moreAntica Trattoria is the best restaurant I’ve visited across six trips to Macao. We went with my partner’s family and were blown away by the warm, welcoming ambience, and top-tier food offerings and super friendly service.
Starting with the ambience the restaurant is rustic and moody, with warm lighting and classic Italian touches that made the space feel both intimate and inviting
The food was outstanding, proper Western-style pizza with a crisp base and rich toppings, perfectly cooked pasta, super tender octopus, and a steak done to absolute perfection. The tiramisu was amazing too, light and creamy with just the right touch of espresso.
The cocktails were a real highlight. Thoughtful, creative, and beautifully balanced, some of the best I’ve had anywhere. And that’s coming from someone who lives in Melbourne Australia, where the cocktail scene is seriously strong.
Service was super friendly and genuine. The team made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, and their warmth added so much to the experience.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Macao. I’ll definitely be back the next time...
Read moreDuring my recent trip to Macao, I had the most wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant! As an Indian vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating the staff were—they customized several menu items to suit my preferences, and every dish was absolutely delicious.
What made my experience truly unforgettable was the kindness and care shown by the staff. On my last day, feeling stressed from work, I visited the restaurant again. I enjoyed some wine and tortellini, and one of the staff members from Nepal went out of their way to prepare a complimentary drink for me—it was amazing! The whole team treated me like royalty, making me feel very special and welcomed.
In a place like Macao, where English communication can be challenging, the staff were not only helpful but excellent at understanding and making me feel comfortable. Their warmth, attention, and friendly service made my trip even more memorable.
Highly recommended to anyone...
