Jade Garden Hong Kong Plaza store — Restaurant in Shanghai

We decided on this place because it got a recommendation in the Michelin guide and we couldn't find the restaurant we were actually looking for. What a mistake..

I have no idea how this got any kind of nod from the the guide, they must be letting their standards slip. This was bad.

They'd run out of 50% of the dishes we wanted to order and 100% of the replacements we chose. Ended up just going with what they had, which was ordinary at best. The fish was so full of bones it was inedible.

To top it off, they had run out of all the wine as well except for one dusty old bottle, which was pretty rough on the pallet.

What the hell, Michelin. This was really disappointing and my faith in you...

As a Michelin recommended restaurant, this one has a nice decor, lots of seatings, and private banquet rooms. Ordered 3 appetizers, two main courses and a bowl of their special black pork noodles.
