We walked past here on the way to a soup dumpling place (Jia Jia Tang Bao) down the road, and we could literally smell the baked goods down the road. The long queue immediately drawn us in to work out what all the fuss was about.
It was for something they sell in packs of 6 for around ยฃ4 British pounds - Butterfly Crackers. They are light, buttery, crispy - with a hint of sweetness. They weren't particularly amazing and was surprised that there was a such a big queue for them after tasting them. Perhaps it's uncommon to have a pastry like this in Chinese cuisine? But would recommend giving them a try if you're in the area as it did seem very popular with locals and tourists alike.

Weโve passed by three times, and the queue always stretches to the end of the road. Every time we turn the corner of the building, the fragrant buttery aroma always wafts through the air which piques my interest. We bought some from nanjingroad ็ฌฌไธ้ฃๅ as well, and compared both, this one from Park Hotel was definitely better! We also got the ๅธไธ่็ณ which was just chocolate cupcakes, and the ้ ้่็ณ which is a fluffy sponge cake. Nothing much to rave about but definitely get the butterfly...
