Restaurant Review: Cabrera Resto-Bar in Zona T, Bogotá
As an international food critic who travels to many fine establishments, I can confidently say that Cabrera Resto-Bar is a gem in Bogotá. Nestled in the luxurious Zona T, this venue offers a refined dining experience that stands out among the best.
From the moment I entered, I was greeted with a warm welcome by attentive staff who displayed exceptional professionalism. The cozy yet sophisticated ambiance, complete with subdued lighting and an elegant bar, set the perfect tone for the evening. Opting to sit at the bar, I enjoyed two expertly crafted cocktails—an Old Fashioned and a Negroni—both prepared with meticulous attention to detail and served table-side with a touch of elegance.
For dinner, I chose the quarter-pound cheese “Hamburguesa,” accompanied by a modest portion of straw fries. The burger was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and the fries added a satisfying crunch. I also tried the quinoa salmon salad, featuring a beautifully prepared salmon fillet on a bed of arugula. The dish was light, fresh, and delicious.
To cap off the evening, I indulged in a Macallan 18-year-old whisky, the most luxurious item on the bill at 328,000 COP. Despite a few challenges, including some water issues and a malfunctioning point-of-sale system, the staff maintained their professionalism and ensured a smooth experience. The total bill, including a tip, came to 588,143 COP, paid in cash.
Overall, Cabrera Resto-Bar is a true standout in Bogotá. Congratulations to the team for creating such a remarkable dining experience. I would gladly return, as this establishment is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the best of what Bogotá has to offer.

Read moreCame here today for the first time from NYC. I was very impressed with the plethora of choices in the menu. I ordered several dishes to try them out and most were a hit while a few were a miss, which also goes for the drinks.
Para compartir: Mini burger selection - excellent
Maíz La Habana mixto (chicken + beef) - excellent.
Camarones crocantes - excellent
Kibbeh Mistafa - it’s an acquired taste. Neither my companion nor me liked it enough to want to ever eat it again.
Fuertes:
New York Stake Argentino - did not like it. Pepper Steak - tasted good. Would eat again.
Medio pollo orgánico al horno - very good.
Postres: Brownie de Milo - excellent. But very sweet.
Cheesecake de Oreo - very dry and just did not taste very good overall. Would skip.
Deleite de Coco - excellent. Lovely. Very sweet but worth every calorie.
Profiteroles - tasty and the least sweet of all the four choices.
The restaurant itself looked very nice and the staff was excellent.
Drinks: Vino tinto - great Jugó rojo de frutos - good; not very sweet Jugó de mora - not the best I’ve ever had, but good enough. Choco Bailey’s - did not like it because her chocolate sauce was too overpowering. De brownie - excellent. Had great texture.
In summary: This place is excellent. Has a great variety. Excellent service.
I highly recommend checking...
Read morevisited Cabrera in Bogotá recently and had a really great experience overall. The restaurant has a cozy and relaxed atmosphere—perfect if you're looking for a laid-back spot. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
The menu has a nice variety of dishes, mixing Colombian classics with a modern twist. We ordered the empanadas and the ceviche to start—both fresh and flavorful. For mains, we tried the steak and the risotto; the steak was perfectly cooked and tender, and the risotto was creamy and delicious. Portion sizes were generous too.
Prices seemed fair considering the quality and presentation of the food. They also had a decent selection of cocktails and wines, which paired nicely with our dishes. It got a bit busy later in the evening, so I'd suggest making a reservation.
Definitely recommend Cabrera if you're looking for tasty food and a relaxed vibe...
