La Cervecería — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

I went with my gf yesterday. We were going to watch a game so decided to order some food. We got a NY steak and a baby beef. Medium cooked. It took them almost 45 minutes to bring the food. When they finally brought the food.... My gf dish was COLD and mine was raw! So I told them the problem and they took the dished back. And I told the server that mine needed to be cooked a little bit more. When they brought back the food.... "Be very careful because the plates are very hot..." what the server told me. When I cut into the meat....I realized that they only put it into the oven instead of cooking it!!! How stupid!! I stood up with the dish and took it to the server because she wasn't there to be found. And I told her the issue for the second time. My gf ate hers and when they brought mine after than 25 minutes....it was freaking dry and hard as a carton! I just stopped eating. So we paid and I did ask the server for a pen and I did leave a very nice and creative note in the bill.... Oh! And NO ONE BOTHERED TO COME TO THE TABLE TO APOLOGIZE!! NO EVEN THE MANAGER!! Fuimos con mi novia a ver un juego en el día de ayer. Pedimos un NY steak y un Baby beef. Se tomaron el tiempo del mundo para traer la comida...pensamos que fueron a cazar a la vaquita....NI SIQUIERA ESTAVA LLENO EL RESTAURANTE... Cuando POR FIN trajeron la comida...la carne fría y la mía cruda cuando habíamos pedido termino medio. Les dije claramente que el de mi novia estaba frío y el mio estaba muy crudo. Se llevaron los platos y otros 30 minutos para que los volverán a traer. "Cuidado por que los platos están calientes ya que acaban de salir del horno..." nos dijo el mesero que nos trajo la comida. Cuando nos miramos con mi novia y corto mi carne cuando aun seguía CRUDO! Me levante con el plato y se lo lleve a la mesera qué nos atendió por que nisiquiera estaba en su zona y le dije acerca de la carne. Pasaron otros 25 minutos para trajeran mi plato y cuando llego....DIOS MIO! QUE PEDAZO DE CARNE SECO COMO UN CARTON!

El servicio PESIMO!! Comida nisiquiera pasable. La mesera ni ganas tenía de trabajar y muy mala en servicio al cliente.

ASI QUE LES DEJE UNA BELLA Y NOTABLE NOTA EN EL RECIBO MIENTRAS QUE LA MESERA LO LEYÓ!

Nos pasamos al Irish!!! MUCHO MEJOR Y RÁPIDO SERVICIO Y ATENTOS TODOS!

NO VAYAN A LA CERVECERIA! VAYAN A OTRO LUGAR...

UPDATE DEC 2021 I have been here many many times, yet This has to be the most expensive Tanqueray Gin and tonic I have had! 70 mil pesos for Tanqueray, not even in the most upscale places I have paid that, and La cervecería, which is a decent, yet average place has that insane price. Not to mention they also charge for a small shot of lemon juice.

FEB 2020 Good place to drink, eat and chat. We were in a table outside and had a nice time with friends. Nice music to listen to, the waiter was quick and very attentive. We really enjoyed it and recommend to everyone. The only thing I was sorry about is that they had sold out octopus, and it was all over the menu and pictures, so it was...

Average Bar with average food and service! The overall experience was just okay. The bar is nothing extraordinary. The food was lukewarm, and didn’t really stand out. As for the service, it was present but not particularly memorable—staff were there when needed, but it didn’t feel like they went out of their way to enhance the experience.

All in all, it's a decent place if you're just looking to grab a quick drink, but don't expect anything...
