I’m sorry to have to say this but our lunch was a huge disappointment. Reading that the ownership and management of this restaurant is Japanese, my wife and I were in high hopes of something special. However, not only is the restaurant totally lacking in anything even suggesting the simplest and least decorated of Japanese restaurants we have visited in our combined many years in Japan, but the food was devoid of the flavors we came expecting to find. The “katsudon” was sadly short on onions, almost entirely lacking in the flavorful soy/mirin broth that makes katsudon so delectable, and the pork was paper thin, while the egg that is usually so perfectly blended with the broth in a good katsudon was over-cooked and tasteless. The curry katsu was only slightly better, in that the curry itself did have reasonably good flavor, but the meat was dry, thin, and breaded with a disappointing “panko”. Went there on a quiet evening. Was greeted by a server who seemed very unmotivated - very cold, no smile, no effort to welcome the customers.

Ordered a plate of sushi and a salad. It was above average but costed 200k pesos - insanely overpriced for what it was.

The server asked me if I would like a dessert. I asked to see the menu. I would have liked to order something but after waiting and not seeing the server for 15 minutes, I decided to forgo desert and pay.

The owner automatically added the tip to the bill without asking me - something that is insane given the bad service and overpriced food.

I have been there twice the tempura prawns are amazing and their curry is super great. However when trying the miso is not as rich in flavour and you feel it didn't reach its full potential and same with their takoyaki felt not freshly made, rather freeze and re heated, same happened with their gyozas. Warm sake is amazing and the staff is friendly. Overall good, but sadly overpriced and unfortunate how the flavours in some dishes are not...
