AVOID THIS PROPERTY…||I booked this hotel months in advance with the guarantee of their room with a hot tub. I need to soak my knees daily for medical reasons .i verified the room details and on three separate occasions, confirmed in writing that the room had both a hot tub and a washing machine/dryer.||As I boarded the plane, on a final check of details, the hotel informed me that the room I reserved months earlier was no longer available. When I included the booking agent in the conversation, suddenly the hotel denied having such a room, and called the three written communications unfortunate miscommunications. ||Upon arrival, they switched me to an oversized two bedroom unit, which was pointless for a solo traveler. I looked to find another hotel, but at the late date, all ones with in room hit tubs were booked. 8010 dumpster living also refused to refund any of my money.||By the third day, my knees were frozen and I could not walk. Other than a trip to a local hospital for injections in my knees, I was trapped in the hotel room and living off delivered food. The hotel charges for every item used or touched during the stay, so they kept feeing me excessively. The trip was ruined. ||By the way, the dryer did not work as well. It took 8 hours to dry a single pair of jeans. The maintenance told me to simply keep it running. They could not fix it.||And I did see the room with the hot tub. It was given to another guest that appear to be a regular guest.||The hotel could be nice if it were not for the deceitful ways of the management and there unwillingness to keep guarantees and promises. A they realize foreign travelers are stuck, and they take advantage.||One final note, they seem to have Expedia and Booking.com delete any negative reviews. This gives a very false impression of their property. The hotel is actually a few blocks out of Zona Rosa, with a sketchy walk in between. There are much better properties closer. ||||AVOID THIS PROPERTY...
Read moreI stayed with Urban Living for 5 days, and enjoyed it very much. The appartments are excellent with nice scandinavian design and are brand new, with all you would expect of services from a luxury full service accomadation. The staff is very professional and welcoming which made the stay very comfortable as a second home away from home. The building is located in a nice and safe neighborhood and is close to the business district, restaurants, shopping, etc. The only bad experience was that housekeeping was a little too eager to help, and took my laundry from the floor and sent it to the cleaner the night before I was scheduled to leave, with the result that some of it needed to be sent to me by a colleague of mine staying in 80|10, and I am not sure I have received all my shirts back yet. However, it was all with the best intentions and these things happen from time to time, but for the future it could be wise to have a laundry form that should be filled in before housekeeping pick up the laundry. I would recommend 80|10 to everyone that is in need for a longer...
Read moreIf you are in Bogota on business for an extended period of time it is definitely worth looking at 8010.||||8010 can best be described as a apartment hotel targeted at business people. It is centrally located in the North in a very quiet and safe neighbourhood. It is within walking distance to El Retiro and Andino shopping malls, and a host of top end eateries.||||Everything is new, having opened earlier in 2013. The rooms and furnishings are top quality. I had a larger one bedroom apartment with views over El Nogal. There was plenty of room to relax, and to do business. It was also a place that you could easily bring business colleagues back for a drink. Much better (and much cheaper) than a hotel for a longer stay.||||The staff, from reservations, check-in, concierge, transport and cleaning were all fantastic. Most were english speaking (which was a great help to me).||||The only downside was that there is no restaurant or bar on-site. That said, there were plenty of...
