The new restaurant in Medellin is a must go! It’s called esencia, and it’s the new talk here! I’ve went many times, alone and with friends and family from all over the world, and we all have loved it. Let me tell you all about it.

It’s located in El Poblado, in front of del este, it has a very comfortable parking lot, and it isn’t expensive; about 5k pesos the hour. From the moment you enter the restaurant you’ll feel the luxurious treatment, the workers are dressed elegantly and the people who dine there vary from very classy adults to fashionist younger ones. The ambient is very opulent, the tables have classy plates and forks, perfectly straight blankets, etc.

Now let’s discuss food. The menu claims Mediterranean, although in my experience you can eat food from almost all over the world, it has amazing Spanish options, like the “croquetas de jamón serrano”, also it has great meats and pastas. Is you enjoy oceanic foods you should go for the “gambas al ajillo”. The service is amazing, the only thing that takes a while are the desserts. Prices can go from 200k per person, but it varies.

I celebrated my birthday dinner at Esencia in Medellin with a group of friends, and it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant has a fantastic ambience that set the perfect tone for the evening. Although I didn’t manage to take photos due to enjoying the company and conversation, I assure you the food was as visually impressive as it was delicious.

The dishes were not only beautifully presented but also tasted incredible, with each flavor thoughtfully executed to delight the palate. The staff contributed greatly to the experience, with their attentive and warm service making the evening even more special.

This place is amazing. Yes it’s a little pricey, but not too bad and definitely worth it. Angela our waitress was incredible! Impeccable service all around. Really felt like a top notch experience.

The salad with charred peaches was excellent. The carbonara ravioli was too. My girlfriend thought it was a little salty but it was perfect for me. The 220g steak was right on 👌
