Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t what I had hoped for. I booked a specific room months in advance, but was given a completely different one. The bathroom was not what was shown online. The shower had no proper water barrier—just a loose fabric (see photo), which did nothing to prevent water from spilling out. Water pressure was very low. The bathroom amenities were minimal: just shampoo, conditioner, soap and a shower cap—nothing else. I asked for two bottles of water as a courtesy, which they promised to deliver, but they never did. I had to go down to the lobby around 3 a.m. to ask again. Even then, it took three attempts before I finally got them. In the morning, I left a used coffee cup and kindly asked if it could be removed. When I returned later, it was still there, so I had to take it out myself Breakfast was underwhelming—most food was cold and not particularly tasty. The only highlight was the fresh juice. The one positive thing: the hotel is well located, right next to a shopping mall, which is convenient if you’re in town for business or errands. I really wanted to enjoy my stay, but there were too many missed opportunities to offer the level of service I expected.

Amazing hotels. Friendly staff. Connected to a very nice high mall. About 1.5 miles from the Poblado area, $10 peso cab each way. Mall was very nice. 2 food court areas, movie theater, and lots of restaurants n bar areas. Currently rate it as 7 out of 10 stars. Roof pool n bar which was why we pick this hotel was closed for renovation. Very upsetting. Would have been amazing view from up on 20th floor. Did have Resort fees charges, $40 pesos per day. Don't know why is pool was closed, should have been waived. Security was great. Felt safe. Clean rooms with amazing views. Hotel is tord the top of a hill with is yet u rather pay a cab than walk. Rooms were very clean n spacious. They provided free coffee in room with 2 small bottles of water included at no charge. Bathroom were clean n spacious. Modern design with walking shower. We had a king bed, was very comfortable n pillows were soft but supportive. Hotel does offer ro shuttle u to a pool at a healthcare but pictures look like a YMCA pool. Not a wow. Would go back n luv the stay enjoy e joy the pool n roof top bar. Best Room AC ever. Gets very cold. Wifey loved it.

Excellent new hotel in a 21-floor building with stunning views over Medellin. Takes 45 minutes to reach by taxi from the main airport. The staff are excellent. In particular, Andres at the front desk was very helpful. The bedroom is spacious. Good shower and bathroom. Struggled to use the TV but maybe it was the interface. Floor-to-ceiling windows make the most of the view. No free water is given - a bottle in the bathroom has a tag of 8000 COP. The hotel is directly connected to the El Tesoro mall which has lots of food and drink options. There are other malls close by. The bar on the top floor is a great place to spend sunset and had reasonable prices (I had 6 empanaditas for 20000 COP). The small gym is modern and is open 24 hours a day. Breakfast selection was as expected for such a hotel (more than adequate with fruits, cereals, bread, cheese, hot food) Would recommend staying here just for the amazing views.

My recent stay at Novotel Medellín El Tesoro was nothing short of exceptional, combining comfort, hospitality, and a sense of refinement that left a lasting impression. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, who demonstrated both professionalism and genuine kindness. Their attentiveness set the tone for the entire visit, creating an atmosphere that was not only inviting but also deeply reassuring.

The hotel itself is situated in a remarkable location, directly connected to El Tesoro Shopping Center, which offers convenient access to dining, shopping, and entertainment. Yet despite its proximity to the city’s vibrant energy, the hotel maintains an atmosphere of calm and tranquility. The design is sleek and modern, with clean lines and thoughtful details that reflect Novotel’s standard of sophistication. Each space feels both stylish and functional, allowing guests to feel at ease whether they are traveling for business or leisure.

My room was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a restful stay. The balance of modern décor with practical features created an environment that was both elegant and accommodating. The housekeeping team maintained everything to the highest standard, ensuring cleanliness and comfort throughout my visit. Every detail, from the quality of the bedding to the efficiency of the in-room facilities, contributed to an overall sense of care and attention.

One of the highlights of my stay was the dining experience at Espíritu Restaurant, located within the hotel. The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was captivated by the breathtaking view overlooking Medellín’s landscape. Watching the city from above while dining added a remarkable touch to the experience—almost as though the setting itself was part of the menu. The culinary offerings were equally impressive. Each dish was crafted with fresh ingredients and presented with care, making every meal a delightful journey. The restaurant staff, Louisa, Gustavo, Fernando were absolutely a joy and very informative about the local fruits an aperitives offered, mirrored the excellence of the hotel team, providing service that was attentive, courteous, and genuinely welcoming.

Beyond the accommodations and dining, what truly distinguished Novotel Medellín El Tesoro was the overall atmosphere. It is rare to find a place that blends modern luxury with such a warm and personal touch. The staff not only fulfilled their roles but also made an effort to ensure guests felt comfortable and valued. This level of hospitality transformed my stay from simply enjoyable to truly memorable.

In summary, Novotel Medellín El Tesoro exemplifies what a hotel experience should be: a combination of outstanding service, elegant design, and a sense of belonging. Whether you are visiting Medellín for business, leisure, or a combination of both, this hotel provides the perfect setting. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a stay that goes beyond expectations. My time here was phenomenal, and I look forward to returning on future visits...

The property itself is nice and modern, however, they got plenty of opportunities, especially on the customer service end. Upon check in I was impressed they received us with a welcome kit for a our puppy, which contained a blanket and a bowl. The room we got was nice but it had an issue with the shower drain not working so the whole thing almost flooded while showering. They took a while to come take care of it. Then overnight we realized there was a leak on the bathroom ceiling, coming from the AC unit. The next morning we had to call again as the bathroom floor was flooded. They said they would send someone from maintenance at 9 am, the time they would come in to work. We had to call a third time at 9.40 am since no one had been to the room to address the issue. This time I demanded to have my room changed. They tried to move us to a smaller room, which I refused and were finally moved to a room of the same size. This room also had an issue with the shower drain and it created a problem for us since the shower stayed full of soapy water after use. To our surprise, we also found out that they only do room service every three days (“environment friendly”). My girlfriend called front desk to request a hair dryer, which never arrived. We decided to vacate the property early due to our dissatisfaction. Upon check out I asked if I could get another blanket for my dog since the one they gave me got soaked with the whole leak fiasco. A guy came out from front desk to tell me his manager said they only had enough for new upcoming reservations. Then while checking out they were supposed to refund my credit card for the unused days. The same guy who spoke to the manager told me that because we booked through Booking.com, we had to contact them for them to approve a refund. I refused since the hotel was the one to charge for my stay at check in, plus, when I checked in the lady told me that they would refund the card in the event we left earlier. They guy seemed confused so the other one closing the folio told me the credit would go back to my account in a few days. He asked me how my stay was, and I shared with him my dissatisfaction with the whole experience and how their property has NO 5 star standard and does not even come close to Marriott. He listened but did not say more than “ I am sorry”. He then went on to asked me if I had consumed food from the restaurant, saying we owed two waters. I told him we did not use the restaurant and even if we had ordered the two bottles of water, the least they could do to handle our aggravating experience would be to waive such charge and offer a free meal, voucher, discount, etc. But I just wanted to get out of there. Next time I am going back to the Marriott nearby, it is a bit pricier but you get what...

BEWARE!!!! I ALMOST WAS KIDNAPPED!!!! I was staying there for 5 days to get my teeth done with dr Londono. I am a young female traveling alone from Miami. 2 big men got in the elevator with me watched me press my floor number ,they then got off at the lobby floor and then when I proceeded to go to my my floor half way into my room I hear the stairway door open and they were running after me. Luckily I closed the door on time. It was the most traumatic experience of my life. I was terrified.. I couldn’t imagine what would have happened if I was a few seconds late to shut my door. The hotel staff was absolutely heartless and lacked empathy. One of the managers even had the nerve to tell me that “oh what If they thought you were cute and wanted to get your number? “ …. ARE YOU SERIOUS ????? These men were running after me like I stole something of theirs. They were waiting for me. The hotel refused to view the camera (there was a camera right infront of my door, I’m sure the footage would’ve spoke for itself) they refused call the police. They said it would take 3 hours and if I wanted to wait in the lobby I could. I called one of my friends who had family in the area , they called the police themselves and they arrived immediately! The police were completely rude and disrespectful. They went to go speak to the guys and came back an hour later. Told me they can’t do nothing about it and that I should basically shut up. The hotel didn’t even offer to kick them out. In my opinion the hotel and cops are all in on this together and most likely set me up. I thank god that he was on my side because If I was a few seconds late to shut my door idk what would’ve happened. These guys looked like they trafficked girls . They were tall and muscular built. There was no way I would’ve been able to fight them off. Please be careful don’t make the mistake of traveling here alone as a woman. I never even left the hotel besides to my appointment and the mall inside to get food from the food court and took precautions and still almost got kidnapped. Colombia is known for...
