There is not much of a panorama but it is on a rooftop. The room itself is spacious and lovely. The interior plants bring the outside in. The soft roof rolls away to make the place open air, but they can close it quickly in the event of rain.
The menu is fairly typical for Medellin. I had the lightly grilled ahi and it was very tasty. Fish in Medellin is usuially pretty good even though everything has to be flown in from the coast if its fresh or imported frozen, like gambas from the Philippines.
Service was attentive and professional.
You enter from the ground floor (where the kitchen is located) and it looks kind of deserted. Closed door along a hallway. There are no signs but just keep heading back until you come to the stairs to go up to the restaurant.
If I were in the area, I'd eat here again but it is not a destination restaurant. They have another...
Read moreLoved it! Exactly what I was looking for. Didn’t have any food, purely a liquid diet with three cocktails, all delish. Was disappointed they didn’t have an espresso martini but they informed me they don’t do coffee…ah well, I’ll have to save that for my brunch spot ;) (see previous review) Great ambiance, music, service plus an accessible venue - yes please.
I’d heard it was expensive but I just think they know they’re value. Cocktail bars in Medellin ain’t easy to find, plus they were works of art, plus PLUS, if you’re a tourist like me, it still amounts to the cheapest drink compared to your hometown pricing.
Amazing date spot as I witnessed many people falling in love all around me. The couple beside us had some boss looking crystal decanter business that made me jelly - think it may have been a fancy sangria pitcher. Oh well, gives me a reason to return to...
Read moreMy Girlfriend and I visited the Panorama Rooftop Bar on a Friday Night, 3/8/19, around 11pm, the Bar is located on a 2nd floor and there is no view to see. The atmosphere was lively with English Music and the Patrons were sipping on their overly expensive drinks by Colombian standards. We waited 45 minutes (no exaggeration) for a Seafood Appetizer, the drinks were strong & good but not worth 35,000 COP = $11+ USD. Again, one must remember that we’re not in NYC, but in a small city named Laureles, in Medellin.
Lastly, we paid 225,000 COP = $72 for an appetizer and 4 drinks, to put in perspective we could’ve had a real 3 course meal and several more drinks at a number of other Bar Restaurants in the area and still had change left.
This place is nice but it’s not worth the...
