I recently had the pleasure of dining at Zona K Atelier by Kenia Salas with a group of 17 guys, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
To begin with, the restaurant's accommodation of our large party was seamless. They graciously accepted our dinner reservation, and upon arrival, they had meticulously arranged the tables to seat us all together without compromising on comfort, even in the relatively cozy space of the restaurant.
The level of customer service exhibited by both the waitstaff and bartenders was truly commendable. They were attentive, prompt, and extremely courteous throughout the evening, ensuring that every member of our party felt well taken care of.
Speaking of the bar, the cocktails were nothing short of masterful creations. The Espresso Martini and Whisky Sour were particularly outstanding, showcasing a level of craftsmanship that elevated our dining experience.
Moving on to the culinary aspect, the food was an absolute delight. Some standout dishes included the Forest Soup, a symphony of earthy flavors that left a lasting impression. The Caramelized Pork Belly Cubes were a delightful blend of succulent and crispy, showcasing the chef's skill in balancing textures. The Chef's Ribeye and Tenderloin with Mushroom Sauce were cooked to perfection, exuding flavors that were both rich and nuanced.
The Mexican Style Chicken Breast was a burst of vibrant flavors, a testament to the chef's mastery of Mexican cuisine. The Taco Trios were a crowd-pleaser, with each bite delivering a burst of authentic flavors.
To round off the meal, the Tempura Banana dessert was a delightful surprise. Crispy, golden perfection encasing warm, sweet banana – it was a fitting conclusion to an exquisite meal.
Throughout our dining experience, communication with the head chef and owner via WhatsApp was seamless and added a personal touch to our evening. It was evident that our satisfaction was their top priority, and this level of dedication shone through in every aspect of our visit.
In conclusion, Zona K Atelier by Kenia Salas offers an outstanding dining experience that goes above and beyond expectations. From the accommodating reservation process for our large group to the impeccable service, superb cocktails, and delectable cuisine, every detail was meticulously attended to. This restaurant is a true gem, a testament to the passion and expertise of its team. I wholeheartedly recommend Zona K Atelier for an unforgettable...
Read moreWe live in Jaco. We felt Zona K was one of the best restaurants in Jaco. We've observed the food quality go from bad to worse in the past year. On the last visit (6 months or so), I contacted the owner through the designated email to describe our dining experience. No response. My husband and two guests decided to give Zona K another try. The food was subpar. My dish was overlooked; the other guest shared a similar dissatisfaction but decided a complaint would be useless. Why? The customer service was non-existent. We had to request water and coffee refills. We were the only four people seated inside or outside who had ordered and were waiting to eat. A large party arrived but well after our meal had been served. The guy in charge needs to be reminded customer service is part of his job. It is a shame the owner hasn't taken the time to monitor her restaurant. If she did, I believe the food and service would get better. If you like quality, good-tasting food and excellent service. Don't waste your time at...
Read moreMy favorite spot for breakfast in Jaco! I stopped in around 10 am and the dining area was full, a great sign. I ordered an espresso, a golden milk, and their tipica breakfast with chicharron. The espresso was as good as anywhere in Jaco, but the golden milk, a rarity in Jaco, was perfectly crafted and left me feeling amazing. The meal was equally memorable with zona K's unique spin on the traditional tico breakfast. I cleaned my plate fast with portions that were neither too small, nor overly filling.
I had the opportunity to connect with the owners who we're gracious hosts and were more than accommodating of my limited Spanish. The atmosphere was chic and modern while retaining the spirit of a cafe.
Certainly my favorite spot to grab breakfast. I'll have to come back for lunch...
