EDIT The restaurant's reply is comical. Why did I order if I didn't like the food a year ago? I ALREADY WROTE "if it weren't for the fact that it was raining super heavy and no other restaurant was available for delivery, I would have skipped...". I ALSO was hoping the first order was an error on your part but I now know this is how unappealing you are, at least for Uber Eats orders. As for no one else saying the portions were small, I'm guessing there is a difference between what is served in the restaurant vs Uber Eats. There's a Chinese take-out restaurant in Herradura which serves 3x to 4x more food for this price, and far more tasty. I'll ride my moto in the rain next time to eat there, thank you for questioning my decision to avoid the rain. I won't order from you again. And thanks for your less than positive reply, although I do appreciate your offer for a free meal... but why would I come for free food that I didn't like TWICE? also, other than the free meal offer for me, I just read other reviews and you are always antagonistic towards negative reviews. That's a red flag for me. Seriously I wish I had ridden my motorcycle in the rain to get food somewhere else
ORIGINAL I paid 10,900 (about $22) BEFORE the Uber fees for the Pad Krathiam Phrikthai in the photo I post... the flavor was so-so and the portions were WAY TOO SMALL for the price. At least the Jasmin rice was decent, and only cost 1,000 🤦♂️ Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that it was raining super heavy and no other restaurant was available for delivery, I would have skipped this purchase because the first time I ordered from this restaurant about a year ago, the food was just as expensive and...
Read moreFirst things first, AMAZING! My husband and I were on vacation. We spent the first week at Arenal and ended our trip in Jaco. After a week of Costa Rican food, we were in need of some authentic Asian food, preferably something spicy! We found this restaurant and decided to have dinner here since it was the closest to our hotel. Truthfully I went in already expecting the food to be disappointing because our Thai food experience in Hawaii was extremely disappointing. I understand that they have to cater to their main population so the flavors may be altered. we knew it wouldn't be authentic but was willing as long as we got our Asian food fix. The restaurant sits on top of this balcony which I thought was just beautiful and really gives you that Thai vibe experience. Lots of mosquitoes but hey you're in Costa Rica, nothing new. always wear bug sprays. my husband and I were the first ones there for dinner hours (thank goodness) cause it filled up real quick. we ordered the fried chicken, paneng, papaya, and curry. my husband and I were in awe! there were sooo much flavor and spice. it's everything we were craving. the next day we ordered take out instead as we predicted they'd be packed again. the host lady remembered us right away over the phone and threw in one of their house champagne bottle on the house. she was such a sweet lady. keep in mind it will be a bit of a wait at this place. it seems like there's only 1 cool and 1 waitress so we waited over an hour for our food, but it was all worth it. I'm home now in Cali where I'm surrounded by tons of authentic Thai food and I still crave the food here. I can't wait to be back in Jaco. this will be...
