Pura vida! The people of Costa Rica have beautiful souls but going to this restaurant was a huge mistake. If you care about the type of people youāre supporting then I would STAY AWAY! It took 15 minutes for the server to greet me. I asked for water and the server never came. I finally got his attention to remind him about the water and he brought a bottle. I thought maybe this was the only water they had (which costs of course) until I seen the waiter serve another family tap water. The waiterās attitude was terrible so I left without ever getting my food. I went to another restaurant, Chipotleās Tex-Mex, which had much better service and options. While I was eating at Chipotleās, the waiter and 3 other workers from La Street Bistro came and started harassing me while I was eating. I explained that the bad service led me to leave but they called the police on me. I stayed until police arrived and explained my side of the story. Calling the police led nothing since I didnāt eat or drink anything while at La Street. I spent 5 years as an American police officer and Im currently a lawyer. I have a business and I would never disrespect an establishment like they disrespected me. Look at the other reviews and pay attention to how they reply to unsatisfied paying customers. Theres no accountability. They will likely do the same to this review. Please take your money someplace else!
In Response the reply:
I wish you wouldāve given me that opportunity before you immediately thought to call the police on me. We had no interaction at Chipotleās before you called the police. You nor the other manager said anything to me! The other manager immediately came into the restaurant and took a picture of me as I was enjoying my food. You and him were misled by...

La Street Bistro is amazing! Delicious food and bebes! I recommend the chicken fajitas.
The incredible staff headed by Carolina create a perfect ambience for enjoying lunch and dinner!
Shout out to Alex for the great recommendations (I love the strawberry milkshakeš are the berry gin tonic if you're feeling naughty, baby.)
Also thanks you for the extensive knowledge of free tourist activities!
Can't wait to come back to La Street Bistro ASAP! In fact its on my schedule for tonight!
NOTE: So now I totally love this place! And hey I got it wrong the first time, I'm not afraid to admit it and to say I'm sorry :-)
I thought they didn't include gratuity but they do include the standard 10%⦠What they don't include is the VAT 13% which means you save 13% off your total bill! How much do you love that? For me, it means that I can tip 20% and pretty much save 3%⦠Get my drift?
For my eyes, the bill looks a little bit olike a math exam I used to fail⦠Maybe if it were color-coded, I'd understand it better⦠But if you ask them to just double the 10% you'll be in great shape. Remember not VAT so makes one inclined toward generosity. Thanks everyone! See u...

Re edit as they replied: First, thank you for replying and caring, I highly appreciate your kind words! Unfortunately I didn't ate anything else that day as I was in a shuttle for 5 hours. The hospital told me it was indeed the chicken and since I ate Carolina reaper with it, it ended up burning everything inside. They explained that it often happens to tourists with chicken here, but less with their citizens as they're used to it. I really hope to come back and try it again. Thank you sooo much for answering! Just for that, I'll put more stars! š¤
We ordered Echiladas con pollo with Carolina Reaper, a vegetarian quesadilas and a passion fruit margaritas.
Portions were more than what we expected for the price it was! The enchiladas were amazing, and would have even take it more spicy! The Carolina reaper sauce was so delicious I wasn't even taking time to drink!
The passion fruit margaritas was exquisite! Definitely a must try!
Employees on the phone were...
