Go Fish — Restaurant in San Rafael

Place is a money pit, food is mediocre at best. If you know seafood well, do yourself a favor and avoid.

Waiters are trained to bleed you dry. My girlfriend wanted a glass of wine and they said “they only have per bottle” she then said “ok I’ll have a beer” then they said they would open a bottle and serve a glass.

The waiters don’t even talk pricing when they suggest you something. I was offered a dish that supposedly is for 2. The shrimp were whole and DRY, the crabs were tiny and inedible (we left them). The potatoes were good.

With The amount of work I had to put in just to somewhat eat this dish, I should have been paid and not pay for it . I’d pay no more than $10 for it and it was $60. Complete rip off.

Ordered 6 oysters and they smelled fishy as hell.

I had to get up and go and pay the bill myself at the counter because waiters simply ignore you. Total dinner was $140 USD. (Rip Off)

I want start by saying the service was bad, took almost an hour for the food to get to the table with the restaurant half empty. Our appetizer was brought to the table literally as a dessert, it was the last plate on the table. The fish on the fish tacos was spoiled with a horrible aftertaste in the mouth. We accepted an order of some breaded crabs as the specialty of the chef, not only it was really pricey, it wasn't as exquisite as they sold it. Spicy Shrimp bucket includes Seasoned Fries, 11 Medium Size breaded Shrimp and 2 Sauces, 1 basic Tartar, 1 house spicy red. Shrimp was more flavor than spicy. Safe for all palettes.

Normal price ~CRC 11 mil, but 1/2 off Uber Eats special was a must try. Delivered Fries were soggy as I am on far edge of delivery zone and driver made 1 additional stop. No deduction, just be aware.

Overall menu pricing is about $20 per person (just for entre) with current punishing exchange rate. Would be nice to see more...
