Title: A Culinary Marvel at Steak House Sal y Fuego in Coco, Costa Rica!

Our recent dining experience at Steak House Sal y Fuego in Coco, Costa Rica, was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was a perfect blend of sophistication and warmth, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening.

Chef Arturo Luna's involvement was the highlight of our visit. His hands-on and friendly approach elevated the dining experience to new heights. The menu showcased the finest cuts of meat, expertly prepared and bursting with succulence. Chef Arturo's genuine enthusiasm and engagement throughout made us feel like honored guests, creating an atmosphere that went beyond the ordinary.

The impeccable service from the attentive and knowledgeable staff, coupled with the culinary mastery of Chef Arturo Luna, made Steak House Sal y Fuego a true gem in Coco, Costa Rica. If you're seeking an extraordinary dining experience with top-notch steaks and a chef deeply committed to perfection, look no further. Our sincere thanks to Chef Arturo and the entire team for a night of gastronomic delight that will be etched in our memories for...

Youll see the signs and banners for this place all over town. Tripadvisor endorsed. You expect a fancy steakhouse by the graphics on their marketing. It's rustic and funky -open air containers. It's cool, but it more of a Texas roadhouse or Austin Food Truck on steroids than a steakhouse. We ordered ribeye with mushroom chimichurra sauce. Medium. It was medium rare to rare in some areas. But still good in flavor for the cut. $33USD. House special red wine at $20USD was un-drinkable, but that didn't stop us! There is NO wine list. Gorgeous wine glasses, though. Too fancy for the joint. Do not order this wine in the photo! Yuck. The live musician was way too loud (voice, guitar, back-up tracks). All Elvis, Clapton and Beatles which seems weird for a US tourist to Costa Rica. Thank God we sat out front with the breeze. It would have been stifling hot and much too loud under their roof.

It's worth going but just know what you're walking into. We love this kind of vibe but we were...

Sal y Fuego created an experience of a lifetime for me and my sister! We were looking for a place to celebrate my birthday and saw that Sal y Fuego was highly rated on Google so we decided to give it a try. Needless to say, this restaurant exceeded our expectations! We immediately felt at home with their friendly service. They helped us try new things, were personable, and made us feel comfortable and special. You can tell they enjoy the people and place they work at. The food was so incredible...best food that we have had since we arrived in Costa Rica! Everything is fresh and you know exactly what you are getting.Chef Arturo has his station in the back so you can see everything that goes into your dish.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. If you are in the Playas del Coco area, Sal y Fuego is a must. Thank you to the staff and Chef Arturo for making my birthday so special! We...

Giving 4 stars is being generous. More accurate would probably be 3.5 stars. Both of my first choices weren't available and I wasn't told until after I ordered, so I ended up getting a burger. The patty seemed to be previously frozen and mass produced. It seemed more meaty than I would expect for ground beef, like a steak in a bun, which I didn't care for. My wife liked her NY Strip, saying that it has great flavor, which is why I'm stretching to give them the extra half-star. French fries and grilled vegetables were good. I can't understand why with us being the only two people in the restaurant that my wife was half finished with her meal before mine came out. This during off season. The bathrooms are clean. I parked in front of the restaurant on the street because the lot was chained off. They are very, very expensive for what they deliver. Remember, more like three and one-half stars.
