Caffe on the Wall (SV. PETAR) — Restaurant in Dubrovnik

Adoid this place if you dont want to be conned !!! My review is based on how I was treated which is nothing but shameful.

We had drinks and had a lovely time admiring the scenery. When I paid for our drinks, the lady gave me the change whist laughing with her colleague at my expense and I only realised what they were laughing about when I got to the next shop to pay for something. The lady (midele aged) had given me two old British pound coins thats no longer in circulation and thus not valid. One could have been a mistake but she gqve me two and was certainly deliberate. She knew what she was doing as thinking back they were laughing about it that they'd got away with it! ! I can only assume they have a stash of these coins that they give away to unsuspecting...

This is not the place to go to if you want the best coffee or the best cocktails etc. You stop here as you are walking on the Walls of Dubrovnik to enjoy a beverage with (if you find a good table) the best view you could have asked for. That is why you go to this cafe. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our cold beer after having walked for a few hours, while looking at the horizon and soaking in all the beauty of the Adriatic Sea coast. The ice cream here was so good. I was apprehensive seeing the ice cream along the wall, thinking tourist trap, but we decided to sample the ice cream since we had been walking the walls from the ploce gate. The ice cream we sampled was delicious, I ordered a scoop of lemon and orange on a cone. My husband ordered a scoop of Ferrero and of chocolate. I like the orange flavor the best, and my husband the ferrero flavor. This place has beautiful views, I highly recommend stopping here for an ice cream and rest while...
