Id like to start this review by giving a shout out to Juan - I was served by multiple people, mainly Juan though and he is an absolute gem

Unfortunately my time here was ruined by someone who I presume to be the manager as he was dressed differently to everyone else and had that air about him. He was incredibly rude to me. I was sat outside and whilst there were no ashtrays on the table I had already seen someone else in the area smoking. After a few puffs he comes over and tells me how I am not allowed to smoke and that it's attached with a €60,000 fine - this sounds insane, so maybe he said €6,000 but I swear it was 60. How was I to know? Every other restaurant I have dined at here has allowed it and there were no signs to suggest otherwise. Typically I would ask for an ashtray before lighting up but the waiters out there were all otherwise engaged. Once he says this I immediately apologise saying I didn't know and put it out. He then repeats again. He comes back two seconds later to take the put out cigarette off me. Again, repeating all he said. I again apologise explaining I hadn't realised. He is not saying this things in a polite manner either might I add. He is very rude about it all, bordering aggressive tbh. There is no need to chastise your guest regardless, but especially not when there is no indication of it and they immediately apologise and put it out. Simply put a sign up somewhere. It's that easy. The food itself yes is nice but it's overpriced for the size (see photos and bill attached). Originally I just ordered the falafel, but was still hungry so then ordered the brie. The bread this came with was soggy. I have left hungry still.

As I am nearing the end of my drink, another waiter comes over with the bill saying his colleague said I asked for it - I hadn't. He looks incredibly embarrassed when I say this and he apologises, saying to take as long as I need. I don't have to guess which colleague this was who told him this. Despite the bill saying it doesn't include tip, he automatically charges me that price without asking if I'd like to tip - suggesting to me that this isn't the first time that this has happened either

Genuinely if it weren't for that one man this review would be much more favourable as I'd be willing to overlook the price per portion due to the location (even though many other places in the same area offer much more for the same price)

Would recommend avoiding this place simply to avoid that man - based on other reviews he is always like this and doesn't seem to treat the other staff nicely either

But again shoutout to Juan he's amazing

(Also I was waiting a while to be sat and one of the cooks had to grab a waiter for me - this is something I can live with, but best to include for...

I recently dined at Soul Kitchen in Dubrovnik and had a mixed experience. The food and portion sizes were generally acceptable, but there were a few aspects that left room for improvement.

I ordered a burger, which came with a veggie patty. While the overall taste was decent, I found the marmalade on the burger to be overly sweet, detracting from the balance of flavors. Additionally, the veggie patty itself was quite small, leaving me wanting a more substantial meal.

One of the main drawbacks of Soul Kitchen is the pricing. The cost of the food and drinks seemed exceptionally high compared to other restaurants in the area. For example, a small 0.25-liter bottle of Coke Zero was priced at 5.50, which felt like an excessive markup.

The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant enough, with a clean and well-maintained dining area. The staff were attentive in terms of taking orders and clearing tables, but there was no notable interaction or service that went above and beyond.

Overall, Soul Kitchen provided an average dining experience, but the high prices and minor issues with the food left me feeling that it didn't quite justify the cost. While the portions were adequate, the small size of the veggie patty and the overly sweet marmalade on the burger detracted from the overall satisfaction.

If Soul Kitchen could adjust their pricing to be more in line with the quality and quantity of the food, and make some refinements to their dishes, it could improve the value proposition for diners. However, as it stands, it feels like an overpriced option for what you receive.

In summary, Soul Kitchen in Dubrovnik offers a decent meal, but the high prices and minor issues with the food make it difficult to fully recommend. If you're willing to splurge and aren't too particular about the details, it may suffice as a dining option. However, there are likely better value-for-money alternatives in the area that could provide a more satisfying...

Soul Kitchen in Dubrovnik is a gem tucked away in the heart of the city, and my dining experience there was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere, which perfectly complemented the outstanding hospitality of the host and owner, Halid. His infectious energy and genuine friendliness set the tone for a memorable dining experience.

The food at Soul Kitchen is a true delight for the senses. Each dish served was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing fresh ingredients and expert craftsmanship. While primarily a vegan menu, I appreciated the option to explore meat dishes, adding versatility to the dining experience. What truly stood out was the staff's willingness to accommodate dietary requirements, going above and beyond to ensure that every guest's needs were met.

After indulging in dinner, I couldn't resist returning to explore the breakfast menu the following day, and I was equally impressed. Additionally, the cocktails served at Soul Kitchen are a work of art. Despite some of them looking unconventional, each sip was a revelation of flavors that left me pleasantly surprised. The Beat is was delicious!!

Beyond the delicious food and drinks, the ambiance of Soul Kitchen is enchanting. Whether enjoying a meal indoors or soaking in the stunning views from the outdoor seating area, every moment spent here is a delight for the senses.

In summary, Soul Kitchen is more than just a restaurant—it's an experience. With its incredible food, impeccable service, and charming atmosphere, it's a place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience...
