First things first, they've got a vegetarian pizza that's an absolute delight. You know the drill: "Hold the cheese, please!" And voilà, it becomes a vegan masterpiece! As a vegan, it is hard to find a filling meal on this island, but this pizza was fantastic and satisfied my hunger. The dough was beautifully crispy, the toppings were bursting with flavour, and it was loaded with all sorts of veggie goodness.
Now, let's talk seafood because they've got it down to an art form! My mother couldn't stop raving about the grilled fish she had. Fresh, succulent, and perfectly seasoned; she could not have not been happier.
Oh, and did I mention the cabbage salad we shared? It was a simple, refreshing and crunchy delight that complemented our main dishes perfectly.
The cherry on top of this already fantastic feast is the pocket-friendly prices! It's a breath of fresh air to find a spot that won't leave your wallet empty, especially in the hustle and bustle of town. It's like a delicious oasis of affordability, right here in Havar!
The atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back, just what you need after a day of exploring and adventures. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, ready to cater to your food preferences and make your dining experience top-notch. Ask to be seated in back, where it feels more like a garden with its open air seating.
So, my fellow foodies, if you want to savor some seriously scrumptious pizza and seafood without breaking the bank, this is your spot! It's a culinary haven, tucked away from the busy streets, and you'll be left with a belly full of joy and a heart full of gratitude. Happy...
Read moreI was in Hvar for a weekend trip. Somehow, I read about this establishment that said their prices were not too inflated and it was a pizzeria, so I decided to go in.
To my pleasant surprise, it was a lot bigger and aesthetically pleasing than what was described as a “fast pizza place by the bus stop”. It had a spacious outdoor dining area, a garden area, and I think there’s a balcony area too. They have a kitchen outdoor too, where their chefs are cooking with a stone oven (I think).
I ordered a pizza, since I’ve read that their pizzas were good, with the kind and nice lady suggesting the Barmaid Pizza. It was delicious!
The second day, I found myself here yet again, because the waitstaff at other place I wanted to try did not seem too interested in serving me. Once again here, I was received warmly by the man working the bar/cashier as well as the same waitress. I wasn’t too hungry considering I had a late lunch so I asked for a recommendation.
She suggested the black gnocchi. Best. Gnocchi. Of. My. Life. After that, I told her I was now hungry and she suggested the calamari, which were great too.
All in all, I recommend this place. Great staff, even...
Read moreGrilled fish with herbs: it was raw inside, (just to point out - when the waitress finally showed up - to pick up the plates - she said they could finish baking them!) despite the name, there were no herbs in it, there were some potatoes next to it, probably with spinach (because it looked more like baby mush). Grilled shrimps with salad: they were not grilled, but fried (with heads and shells), or rather drowned (and dripping) in deep oil. And the salad? - random vegetables (cucumber, tomato, lettuce, cabbage, 3 carrot slices and about 10 corn kernels) only chopped, without any spices - even after adding balsamic vinegar and olive oil, they did not taste like a salad! We couldn't wait for the bill for several minutes! Waste of time and money. Romantic dinner for two - a complete failure. It would be better, tastier and much cheaper to prepare it at home. Edit: It was in September 2024 and it was...
