Fantastic. We dined here on our first night of our honeymoon around 10pm. The entire port and square was still alive and bumpin, but majority of people were just drinking. Not here! Everyone had amazing looking dishes. We split the octopus and it was cooked perfectly, light and fresh and served with potatoes and spinach. Next I ordered a seafood pasta with red sauce and my husband ordered the best carbonara he’s ever had. We’ll probably be back tonight for him to order it again haha. We split a bottle of white wine, only grown on Hvar, and ended with limoncello shots on the house. We sat outside and the breeze was perfect and the bathroom inside was always clean and no wait. I think we spent €100 maybe, or maybe 88 and we tipped to close the bill at €100. Lots don’t tip, but we do. What you give, you receive in return. Be kind and tip your servers! 🤗🤗

Honestly the food itself deserves a 2 star but I’m giving it an extra star because of the great customer service. The mussels although fresh were slightly over cooked and really salty. The pizza was too heavy and unfortunately my partner didn’t even finish it (his fault for ordering cheese pizza for dinner) The Swiss chard and potatoes were okay and didn’t taste fresh. The restaurant is reasonably priced and you get what you pay for. The customer service was the highlight, the waiter was attentive and even offered to replace the pizza with another meal, he seemed genuinely concerned we didn’t like the dish. We declined as we were heading back to the hotel so instead he offered us two free shots after a meal which was a lovely touch!

The pizza and seafood risotto were great. The atmosphere was good too because we were sitting outside. However we only found out you couldn't pay by credit card until the bill came. They said it's written on the menu, but who reads the start of the menu. This meant 3 people on our table had to go and withdraw cash from an atm because it was the 2nd last night of our trip and we would have expected a big restaurant like this to have credit card facilities (just like restaurant mizarola next door) The staff were more defensive about it rather than helpful or apologetic. This left a bad taste in our mouths.

I generally avoid leaving less-than-stellar reviews because I understand how challenging the restaurant industry can be. That said, I am quite disappointed. I visited with my partner after reading several positive reviews online, so we were excited to try it out. I ordered a Caesar salad, which is usually a safe bet. I’m also aware that not every restaurant prepares Caesar salads in the traditional way, but this version missed it by a mile. I'm quite sure the dressing was a bottled crème fraîche rather than a Caesar dressing. The croutons were also soft and chewy. Additionally, the fact that Parmesan—a staple in a Caesar salad—was an upcharge seemed a bit surprising. My partner opted for the tomato gnocchi and was particularly excited because the host assured us several times that the portion size was generous (he was hungry, and we asked before being seated). Unfortunately, when the dish arrived, it was very small—more in line with what you might expect from a children's menu. The dish itself was also disappointing. The cheese hadn't melted into the sauce, instead sitting in clumps, and the sauce was thin and bland. Despite these issues, I want to emphasize that the atmosphere and service weren't bad. Perhaps it was just an off night, or maybe some adjustments are needed in the kitchen. I genuinely hope that these critiques can be taken as constructive feedback, and the pizza we ordered to-go afterwards...

I ordered the gnocchi with 4 cheese and it was terrible. The dish tasted very “fishy”. I understand that this is Hvar and seafood is a huge part of the culture, however I ordered a dish without seafood because I did not want to taste something “fishy”. My partner ordered the pasta with seafood and it was supposed to have muscles, half of the muscles in the pasta didn’t open and the ones that did open tasted rotten and spoiled. The shrimp in the dish also tasted spoiled and the waiter was very unfriendly and did not care to make anything right. The only thing we ordered that was alright was the grilled vegetables - which consisted of half a bell pepper and 4 slices of zucchini... pretty poor food. I suppose we did go to a “pizza” place and didn’t order pizza so it may have been our fault, either way I will never go back as it was an overall terrible experience. Also, cash only? It is 2019, is Hvar stuck in the Stone Age or is the staff too busy being lazy...
