Greatest restaurant we have been to in our holiday on Hvar. The terrace was looking very cozy with wine plants and a nice decoration. My girlfriend is vegetarian and I wanted to eat some local fish, which was quite difficult in other restaurants, as some of them did not even have any vegetarian food except starters. But here we asked a guy at the entrance and he told us some vegetarian options which sounded very good. So when entering we had a personal waiter, who was already informed about one vegetarian, and also the „greeting from the kitchen“ was served by a cook (so a real greet from the kitchen - it‘s the small details :)) with one of it being the vegetarian option. Very attentive! Our waiter was very kind and obviously loving his job. The starters we ordered were already a dream of food, and also quite a good portion. And the main courses were also absolutely great looking and tasting! I had fish, my girlfriend had a beetroot risotto with truffles (which was not even on the menu). When we declined the dessert (as we ate too much - portions are very good), we received a plate for us to at least taste the ice cream with nuts from the island and a self made sauce. Highly recommended to try it!! The ambiete was very nice, and quite empty as it was after the main season already. It was not cheap, but definitely not overpriced as some other restaurants. Each kuna was worth it, not only for the food, but also for the great service. You can see here that they did not only serve something for „one time tourist visitors“, but rather want to give you an evening to remember. Thank you!

Paradise Garden Hvar truly lives up to its name! I was absolutely enchanted by the lovely garden atmosphere – it felt like dining in a peaceful oasis. The food was a delightful modern take on Croatian cuisine, showcasing fresh, local ingredients in innovative ways. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the warm and friendly service, especially from our incredible wait staff, Danica. From the moment we sat down until the end of our meal, she was absolutely amazing. She made the whole dining experience so special. I was particularly impressed when she personally crafted my cocktail and plucked a beautiful "Jesus flower" off the vine in the garden to use as a garnish! The drink was perfectly balanced and incredibly refreshing. Danica has such a sweet personality and offered excellent recommendations for wines that paired wonderfully with our dishes. She was always attentive, making a genuine effort to check on us and ensure everything was to our liking. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in Hvar with delicious food, a stunning setting, and exceptional service, especially if you have the pleasure of being served by Danica, then Paradise Garden is a must-visit!

We were really looking forward to eating here after everything we had seen online, especially about the lamb duo. Unfortunately, the rib eye was poor quality which they did warn us about prior to ordering and they explained it was chewy- I accepted this but for the price is was still very poor and not worth the money. They should lower the price whilst they know they are serving poor produce or remove it from the menu until they can source better meat. Then my partner’s lamb duo dish was completely cold, all of it. We managed to call the waiter over and explain. They provided a replacement plate of the lamb, which was better but still not hot and certainly not worth the money. The waiter didn’t check how this was until after my partner had finished. As you can see, aesthetically it was well presented but not enjoyable. They offered us a free dessert as compensation but we didn’t want this. Felt harsh to have to pay a full priced €115 bill for an unenjoyable experience.

We visited yesterday evening, and it was, without exaggeration, one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. The waiters were not just unfriendly, but openly arrogant, and the service was nothing short of a disaster. The so-called mocktails were mostly ice, with hardly any actual drink, and the portion size promised on the menu was simply not delivered.

When we decided against an appetiser, our waiter reacted with a look that made us feel as though we had insulted him personally. We ordered three tenderloin steaks: one medium and two medium-rare. What we received was unacceptable. All three were blatantly overcooked. The “medium” steak was dry, grey, and closer to burnt than edible—absolutely inedible, in fact, and only replaced after the waiter argued with us first. The two “medium-rare” steaks were more like medium-well, both partially burned on one side.

To make matters worse, the staff rushed us through the entire meal, pressuring us to order dessert while one of us was still eating their main course. At every stage, we felt like we were being pushed out of the restaurant simply because we weren’t the kind of customers the waiters wanted.

Overall, it was a truly miserable evening. The food was poorly prepared, the service was shockingly rude, and the attitude of the staff was the worst we’ve experienced anywhere in Croatia. Absolutely not...

Place was amazing and food was delicious (except pink limonade) and luckily we booked a table 1 day in advance otherwise it would not have been possible to get a seat ! However : limonade with sage didn’t get the sage taste as they put mint leaf (and not sage leaf) aubergine ratatouille was quite small for a main dish waiter was « too much » : . he advised me to take side dish, I was surprised but ok, I chose it and then he said + a salad 🤨 without having time to understand what was happening, will he bring the salad or the side dish ? Or both ? anyway he wanted me to take the salad and he did same thing at the next table, so I had 2 sides dish 😳😳😳 . he advised most expensive wine (may be it was the best for lamb but we always wonder in such case) . at the end we paid and 2 mn later he came back nearly asking for a tip (it’s an expensive restaurant, we ate at « home » two diners before with only pasta or sandwich to offer us this nice place). Bill was expensive enough for us, and bcz of above points we really didn’t think of giving a tip which we give only when it’s worth it. Waiter was CLEARLY unhappy , showing to a table nearby the empty box 😳😳😳 which made us all feel very strange and so much in contradiction with his (fake) warmth. For this reason we don’t recommend this restaurant, I gave 2 stars...
