Overall I wish I could recommend this place to others traveling; however after my experience, I don’t think I can. The place is beautiful and in a perfect location of Hvar. I hardly ever leave reviews, but after the couple nights we had, I wanted to share my experience. We walked into the room and threw our luggage down in the living room and walked out to dinner. I came back, showered, slept, and woke up with bites all over my legs. We had a day of island hopping planned, so I spent the day away from the room. We came back and I thought the bites looked like bed bugs, so I inspected the mattress and saw eggs and a few bugs over the entire side I slept on. I then quickly notified the desk, they called the manager, and everyone came up. Immediately though, they turned the blame to my friends and me. They said we must have brought the bugs in and they wouldn’t do anything because they’ve never had this problem before. I find it strange a hotel in the middle of a tourist town has never experienced bed bugs and more importantly had no idea what to do. So they called an “expert” and the expert, who never actually showed up, said it wasn’t anything to worry about. Pictures of both the bites and the mattress are attached, for anyone thinking about staying here, so I was concerned. What I found most upsetting was after spending a significant amount of money to stay at this hotel, there was not one apology nor any real solution offered. They vacuumed the bed and changed the linens, which is not an actual solution to a potential bed bug infestation. Instead they questioned where I had been over and over again and stated it must have been us who brought it into the room. Clearly the bed bugs had been there much longer than I had been. I slept on the couch and was questioned again in the morning when we checked out. So overall, I feel disappointed with what could have been an incredible hotel.

Great small boutique hotel in the very center of the city - few steps (and stairs) away from Hvar harbour and main city square with Hvar's cathedral and yet away enough not to be in the epicenter of the city's noise. In the case you're carrying heavy suitcases hotel staff will offer you to carry it and deliver right to your room (we asked for this service in advance upon our arrival). They also own a wonderful charming Park Central Club which provides live music. Hotel is kept very clean from the bottom up , both outside and inside the rooms especially. Reception area is very small but nice, warm and welcoming - unlike some big franchise hotels where you walk into enormous reception halls and end up in 15 sq meters room. In this hotel it's likely opposite - huge ,probably around 40 sq meters, big suites consisted separately of a living room, bedroom and bathroom. Hotel breakfast is served from 7am until 11am on a million dollar terrace overlooking Hvar harbour and surrounded with 1000 different beautiful plants. Breakfast of course is pretty decent, buffet style but hotel staff welcomed us to order egg omelletes as we wanted them to be done.

Warmly welcomed by Nevesa upon our torrential rainy evening arrival. Kindly upgraded us to a Superior suite & offered local grappa @ reception to calm our shattered nerves! Spectacular sea, promenade views! Breakfast buffet with large selection of gastronomic delights, Izidora barista preps a favoloso Cappuccino & cafe Americano. Ivana, so gracious to hi-light all points of interest in town & researched a few queries! Grazie, Hvala, Thank you for a most memorable sojourn! Truly recommend a stay!!

What was supposed to be our ‘at no expense luxury destination’ definitely came at an expense. Let me start by saying the hotel itself is beautiful, has ac, and Ivana at front desk was so helpful when we checked in. We arrived, put our luggage in the living room, left for the day, came back & showered, and went to bed. One woke up in the morning with symmetrical bug bites on her leg, which were not there the night before. We didn’t assume the worst at this point. We were gone the next day until 6pm and while getting ready we decided to check the mattress. There were bed bugs & eggs all over it (evidence included). When we kindly notified staff & management they said this has never happened, don’t know what they look like or how to handle it, and the only way it could happen was because we brought them (obviously not true since we were in the room less than 10 hours at this point & did not touch the bedroom until going to sleep). Honestly, we weren’t upset that it happened in the first place. Despite it being our first time encountering this, we understand it can happen and can be inevitable when traveling. But to have ‘zero knowledge’ on this topic because it’s ’never happened’, zero protocol on how to handle it, no accountability or apology for the inconvenience, and to only blame us for pointing it out was more than upsetting. To top it off, their solution was to vacuum the mattress and change the sheets like it never happened (which does NOT fix the infestation they clearly have). We closed that bedroom door and did not go back in. We were unable to use our main bedroom & forced to sleep on the bed upstairs and the one infected on the couch (Safe to say she got little to no sleep). We were leaving in the morning so no reason to make a big deal over it, but to pay over $1000 for only two nights, master bedroom infested, zero apology & given only blame is terrible customer service. On top of everything, they called their ‘expert’ who said it couldn’t possibly be bed bugs during a 5 minute phone call with no knowledge or eyes to see it for himself. Their infestation is far from over due to their poor ‘handling of it’, and we were just unfortunate enough to be the ‘first’ to fall victim to it....

1/5 stars It hurts me to give 1 star on this review, because our jaws dropped when we walked in our room. A gorgeous, two story room with a bathtub, robes, and an amazing view of the port. We thoroughly enjoyed our complimentary water and chocolate while adoring the view. I wish I could say that the luxury continued, but my travel companion woke up after one night with a curious cluster of itchy bites on her leg. Eventually we decided to check our mattress, where this stay took a turn for the absolute worst. We discovered an infestation of bed bug eggs, which were unmistakable. We immediately alerted the front desk- and this is where it all went wrong. Instead of apologizing and offering a new mattress or new room, the staff immediately turned to blaming us for this infestation (mind you, we had been here 10 hours at this point and had not had this issue up until this point- and our bed was was COVERED in eggs). They kept asking where we had been previously, despite us having no bites or issues until this point. They called “their expert,” who declared it impossible that these were bed bugs, therefore we were were not offered anything besides a vacuumed mattress, which will not kill these bugs. They continued to blame us throughout the night and did not offer one apology nor compensation, even though we spent the last night sleeping on the couch rather than the bed. I feel bad for whoever stays in room 21 after us, because they took no accountability for the bugs and did not follow an appropriate termination procedure. It’s a shame that such a beautiful hotel has no protocol or accountability for bed bugs, and for that reason I cannot...
