Coming off the plane and into Split a bit late, we were super thankful to have found this gem. The host was immediately a joy, cracking light jokes with us as he took us to our seat 😁 We started with some drinks, which were solid. Can’t go wrong with a G&T but the fig they threw in was a great touch. My fiancée ordered the fig sour and thoroughly enjoyed it as well — it looked great. 🥂 The food was phenomenal, and not just because of airline hunger! I got the jalapeño blueberry burger.. and I just may go back for another now that a week has passed and we’re back on the way out! It was absolutely incredible; dare I say, the perfect burger 🤌🍔 While my fiancée ordered the fig and farm cheese flatbread, which was LOADED!! Enough for me to pick at after my burger (I’m a black hole with good eats). Even the fries were something to mention, as they were neatly cut and folded fry-wedge-ish types that were super enjoyable. Beyond that, we were captivated by the architecture of the place. It seemed like we were sitting in an old roman cellar that had been slightly modernized with complimentary stonework. Definitely a place to visit for a great foodie experience; highly recommended. ✨ p.s. we went back to try their breakfast, because my fiancée really wanted the breakfast burrito. 👌 I got the french toast — both were divine. Don’t miss this place during your visit!

Mexican Pulled Pork! I wanted to start with that in case you’re quickly scanning reviews. It was amazing. As a Chicagoan visiting Croatia my eyes instantly zoomed to this item on the menu and my Spidey senses proved to be right. We couldn’t get enough. The mix of the Mexican pork sauce and sour cream, the tender pork pieces falling apart on our forks, and the accompanying bread for dipping were all of great quality and made for a wonderful experience. My friends ordered the root veggie and hummus and that was delicious as well but did not hold my interest for very long because the Mexican Pulled Pork was situated in front of me. I remember the hummus being very good but the root vegetable overwhelmed the plate. I also had a Bloody Mary which was quite good for a lunchtime cocktail. The outdoor seating at this establishment is the best. Tucked away in a small but cozy courtyard you are surrounded by the beautiful architecture of Dyoclesian’s palace. We walked around the interior as well, which was nice, but we didn’t want to miss out on the fresh air and sunlight. Definitely give this place a try. I would have given a 5 star but the menu was a little too small for my taste and I found that besides the items we ordered there wasn’t much else to tease my appetite. That’s just me. Service was great, everything was great, definitely treat yourself!

Great location. Super central, really interesting building. You can feel the vibe of the old city watching the shop’s walls and the stratigraphy of the city. Food wise it has a variety of culinary ethnic references. Mexican mainly and American and some “global”. Everything is of course catered to a European crowd. We tried the roasted vegetables with spices and honey and with hummus, and the burger with the blueberry marmelade with jalapeños. The burger was on the salty side which makes sense since it had smoked cheese under so it gave a bit extra savory flavor. The French fries were good and the sauces offered were great especially the hot sauce which was spicy enough for a mild European palette but not for a Mexican. Our son had quesadilla and it was fine. The prices are on the upper side. We were there July 2023 so it is just after the euro entry which drives up the prices of everything. I would call it Amsterdam center prices, since I have this as a reference. 18 euros blueberry burger, 17 euros roaster veggies, 15 euros quesadilla. The menu is of course visible, but still I am surprised how everything seems even more expensive than touristic Italy. Nevertheless the location permits for this price list.

Fig must be on your list - great international fusion food. We tried the Chicken and Vegetable Korma and the Fig/walnut and farm cheese flatbread. Both were very flavorful and delicious. The flatbread presentation was good. The korma was delicious and had authentic Indian flavors. The cook from the other Indian restaurant in old city should probably learn from Fig's chef on how to prepare good and flavorful Indian food. The only reason I give this place a 4 star is because they were out of two of the three dishes we tried to order - the vegetarian burger and the beet and yogurt salad. We visited this place around 1pm afternoon for lunch, the very friendly and helpful staff immediately made arrangements for a table but we were disappointed to learn that they were sold out of the dishes we wanted to try (the dishes displayed in their menu on the street that pulled us into this place in the first place). The prices are higher than most other places around but overall, the food was very good and I highly recommend this place for good international fusion food.

Stop what you are doing and go here right now. This will be a place that my husband and I will forever talk about. On our first night we stumbled upon it after 2w hours of traveling. We had the vegan korma and the roasted veggies along with a wine and local beer and the tomato flat bread. It was AMAZING. The plating itself is something to talk about, but so is the location, flavor, and above all the service. Aline B. knocked our socks off both times we went. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guests and the restaurant. A total gem they have found in her. She took the time to explain not just the meals but how to order in Croatian who h is very helpful for those in search of iced coffee. We went back for breakfast and WOW! another home run. The spicy eggs are great and the yoghurt and granola is the best thing we ever ate. Long story short, as two people that literally travel the world in search of "best bites", this place is currently ranked our #1. Thanks Fig Split and CHEERS Aline for making our time memorable.

We recently visited Fig Split, located in Diocletian’s Palace, and it was a great spot to escape the heat — cooler inside with cozy seating along the wall. The breakfast menu may not be extensive, but the quality definitely made up for it. I had the Spicy Eggs, which had just the right amount of kick, while my partner enjoyed the French Toast, which was fluffy and perfectly sweet. Both dishes exceeded our expectations. Breakfast for two, including coffee, came to about 36 euros, which felt fair for the quality of the food, service, and location. They accept both credit card and cash, which is always convenient. I’ve uploaded the full menu with pricing from September 2024 in the photos. All in all, we’re glad we tried it. It’s worth going at least once, especially if you’re nearby, though we might not go out of our way to visit their other locations. Still, it’s a great place for anyone looking to try something new and enjoy some solid breakfast options.
