I have been traveling through Croatia for 20 days, and today, on my last day, I had my best gastronomic experience.

We tried to eat at 2Ribara the night before, but it was already full. No wonder—it was a delightful surprise, and we finally managed to have lunch there today!

The service was spectacular—the waiter was kind, attentive, and very helpful.

Since I’m a polenta enthusiast, I chose the FISHERMAN'S PLATE, a dish with polenta, red sauce, and seafood. I asked the waiter if the polenta would be soft or firm... he said firm... I like it soft, so I asked him to check with the chef if soft polenta would be possible, and he was more than willing to accommodate that...

We waited with a basket of bread, seemingly homemade, which, with olive oil and salt, was delicious.

He also brought us a bucket of ice to cool our drinks, and in less than 10 minutes, everything was on the table... the FISHERMAN'S PLATE, a delicious red sauce with mussels, squid, octopus, and langoustine, and in this case, with soft polenta... fit for the gods!

For my husband, we ordered the GRILLED SQUID, grilled squid served with swiss chard dalmatian way (boiled potatoes and chicory), spectacular... perfectly cooked!

Both dishes were plentiful and could have easily served another person... but they were so delicious that nothing was left!

The attention of the waiter throughout our restaurant experience and the chef, who, even on a busy day, was sensitive to my request, transformed my level of experience at the place.

On average, we spent €28 per person, including drinks (for two people), which is a fair price for the quality of the dishes and service.

I highly recommend this...

Despite the nice reviews we had one of the worst meals of our lives and nobody asked if they are okay, or anything. When we finished off with the pasta almost untouched they just took it away. However: Starters: We shared a "fish platter" which was pretty good but you could buy anyhing of those ingredients right off the shelves from a supermarket (nothing fresh, everything marinated either in oil or vinegar/lemon). Still, it wasn't bad. Main courses: Ravioli with seafood: disgusting smell and flavour, definitely not fresh. Big big chunks of unidentifiable pieces of clams (?) which were hard to chew so we just left them on the plate.

"Fish tris" So, the amount of fish was more than generous...but they just destroyed and HUMILIATED them. Felt like eating CARDBOARD. Overcooked, overdone, not fresh, frozen, tasteless, chewy. Worst tuna, swordfish and seabream that I had in my life.

Still, nobody asked anything if the food was okay or not.

The restaurant seems nice first but you'll notice the cheap worn out furniture if you sit there for a time. The restroom heavily smells like MOULD. At least it wasn't quite expensive. 70eur...

Extremely disappointing experience. Would not recommend.

We waited 1.5 to 2 hours for our food, which already set a very poor tone for the evening. The meals didn’t even arrive at the same time – instead, they were brought out 30 minutes apart, so half of the table had to wait while others were already finished.

When the food finally arrived, it was almost cold. The fish was dry, overcooked, and clearly rushed – it felt like no care was put into it. The steak was even worse – chewy, bland, and simply inedible. I left hungry, disappointed, and honestly frustrated.

To make matters worse, the bill was incorrect, and we ended up paying €23 more than we should have. When we pointed this out, there was no apology, no correction, and not even a small gesture from the staff – not a drink on the house, no discount, nothing to make up for the unacceptable wait and poor service.

After 2 hours of waiting, we expected at least warm, decent food served together – but we got neither. The experience was chaotic, unprofessional, and showed zero concern for the customer. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was simply...
