Isola Beach Bar — Restaurant in Ayia Napa

This is a review for both the beach bar which offers sun-beds, etc with serving on the beach, but also for the restaurant. First of all, you will have to book in advance on their website. Booking process is quite easy. When the time of the reservation comes, you tell some stuff member that you have a reservation and you will be routed to a lady who handles them. It is very unlikely to find free sun beds workout a reservation but you can try anyways.

Sun-beds are comfortable and you also get towels in the price of 30 euros as of July 2024. Plus a bottle of water, and very important a bucket of ice to keep the water cold.

To order something you can scan a QR code and the order will be brought to you, or if you can’t do it like that for some reasons you can order directly to the waiter. The food menu for serving on the beach is shorter than the one in the restaurant (which makes perfect sense).

They play chill house music, not too loud, so the atmosphere is good for the beach. We definitely got good vibes from the music.

Service on the beach is quick and very nice. Cocktails were nice. Prices are decent, but it depends also on the how rich you are 😂. But to give some context, 5 EUR for a beer, 11 EUR for a Mojito, 4 EUR for Freddo coffee. 3 EUR 1 liter water.

In the restaurant there aren’t many tables but we were able to get one. Again the prices are not too big but the quality of the food is OMG amazing. Superb! Such good flavors that go well one with the other! Absolutely fabulous. However please keep in mind that the portions are smaller, as in a fine dining restaurant. The service was again extremely good.

There is really no complaint about the place… except for maybe being the only one of its kind on Nissi beach. But this is a complaint for Nissi beach, not for Isola.

Location of the beach bar is great, and the food was solid, BUT we were for 3 straight days there, during our last day they told us that we have to pay first 25 euros per person for a lounge in the Caffè, then they told us 45 euros. When we said that we were there already for 3 days and that they didn't tell us that we have to pay, they said they let us do that. The prices are nowhere to be seen, they didn't warn us at first. One of the staff came back and told us that we had enough time to think about it if we want to stay there the whole day very impolitely. He basically forced us out we a 4 month old baby in the middle of the heat! To mention again we were there for 3 days and did eat and drink and everything. The baby didn't scream or anything. They have said that they are busy but nobody actually was there the whole day. The staff was terribly rude, trying to make money out of us and force us to spend an amount, saying different prices each time we asked which would not be the problem, if they told us at first the price point for the lounge,they waited for us to sit and order drinks and be there just to force us out! The place is beautiful, pleasant, and clean, but what bothered me was the attitude of the staff member.

We tried to contact them before coming, but there was no response. When we arrived, we told her that we wanted to get a spot, but she told us that there were no available places and that it was fully booked. We tried to explain that we had attempted to contact them, and she replied that we should have booked two days in advance. We told her we didn’t know that, and that we tried to call but no one answered. We also mentioned that we had traveled a long distance — about an hour — but she didn’t care and told us to go to another beach club.

Fortunately, we came across one of the staff members working there, and he told us that there were sunbeds available and let us in.

I don’t know why she treated us this way. Her behavior was impolite and lacked respect. This place should take such feedback seriously. The staff member at the entrance represents the whole establishment, and she should treat guests with respect and professionalism.

On a positive note, the beach area staff were kind, friendly, and eager to help, which made our experience much better. Ps: shower are not free 1...
