Nissi Bay Beach Bar — Restaurant in Ayia Napa

We, along with our group, were on vacation, visiting Ayia Napa a few days with our boat from our publishing company. It's a yacht that can hold up to 100 people. Last week, we came across Nissi Bay Beach Bar, where the DJ played house music all day. As I usually do at party's I wanted to tip him €100 for the music and tried to walk up to the DJ booth, which was almost impossible to approach because it was very high built.

There was an old man playing the music and looking angry, but I still wanted to offer him a job for the evening. We needed a DJ for our yacht party, and our budget was €5,000 to €10,000, depending on whether he would play for 1 or 2 hours. This is a normal price for such an event. I smiled friendly to the DJ and said, 'Can I ask you something?' while I was trying to see him in the high DJ booth where he was obviously hiding.

He took a second, and his first reply was very angry. He screamed, 'GO AWAY, I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU!' I was stunned by his weird behavior, he obviously hates his job and his life. Later, I asked the barman what was wrong with the attitude, and it seems that the DJ thought of himself as very important.

Anyway, we ended up finding another DJ with a nice attitude and paid him €10,000 for our yacht party, which turned out superb. Obviously, I changed my mind and never tipped the €100 to the old and grumpy Nissi Bar DJ. Who ever he thinks he is. Not worth my money and time ! But the other people working at the bar were absolutely great. This is the nr.1 hotspot in Cyprus....

Direkt am berühmten Nissi Beach gelegen, bietet die Bar alles, was man für einen perfekten Tag am Meer braucht: chillige Musik, exzellente Drinks, gutes Essen und eine Atmosphäre, die sofort ansteckt.

Schon beim Betreten spürt man das besondere Vibe – alles wirkt offen, freundlich und professionell organisiert. Fazit: Die Nissi Bay Beach Bar ist mehr als nur eine Strandbar – sie ist ein Erlebnis. Ein Ort, an dem Urlaubsfeeling, Lebensfreude und stilvolle Gastfreundschaft aufeinandertreffen. Wer einmal hier war, kommt garantiert...

Owners if this bar - I would be SERIOUSLY concerned about the quality of customer service your employees are giving. If a customer gives you an old cup and asks for the drink to made in that cup, you don’t ask why, you simply do it or explain why it’s not possible. And when the customer tells you it’s for the environment, you don’t laugh in their face and take their cup and throw it in the trash. If somebody has decided to minimize their impact on the planet, it is not your job to make a decision for them and lecrure them. Beach bars in Greece and Cyprus are obviously not planning to remove single-use plastics from their use, so I guess it’s our duty to reduce our impact where possible. Laughing at customers and making them feel unwelcome goes beyond describing the personality of this specific employee, but unfortunately it impacts the overall image of this buy. I will not give my money anymore to this place.

Edit: Oh and needless to say, I went to Luma where they ONLY have paper stuff, which is the way it should be in 2021, and this will be our beach bar...
