Taverna Nissi by Nissi Beach — Restaurant in Ayia Napa

I had a lunch with a group of friends but unfortunately the experience was one of the worst ones I had so far. One of the waiter dropped one of our plates while serving them, which fell on one of my thighs and ended it up burning me. That wasn’t even the worst part. The waiter didn’t offer any help and he just asked a typical sorry and never came back to clean the table and the floor. He broke 2 glasses of water we had on the table and never brought new ones. We asked politely for new ones but never received them. Finally there was one polite waitress who was willing to help us and brought glasses and cleaned the place. Overall the food isn’t worth the money, the service was very bad and we ended up waiting for the food and the bill quite a lot. I am sure there are other places where you can have your lunch and enjoying it without destroying your mood. I don’t recommend this...

If I could give NO stars I would! The service was TERRIBLE!! The staff are rude and racist. From the moment we stepped in no one greeted us, we had to sit down ourselves (unlike everyone else). We waited 30 minutes for service and it was only when I got up and asked to be served did someone to finally come. 2 tables came in after us and got taken to a table, given the drinks menu, got served and got their food all before we did. The food also came stone cold after a 45 minute wait. When we attempted to raise our poor experience to the manger, to my disbelief, he had no remorse, offered no apology and was very disrespectful and dismissive of our experience. We sat down and we’re told by the bartender Andreas to wait for 10 minutes for a server. We waited for 15 and asked him to place our order as it was just halloumi and calamari and his response was “that’s not my business, I make drinks”. He refused to take our order as that “wasn’t his business”, there fore we refused to eat at a place that employs such a lazy person for their staff. His attitude and lack of team effort, especially during covid times, will only lead to more losses for this restaurant. We gladly went to costas greek restaurant around the corner and had the best service from a guy there named Eugene. Eugene was so incredible we tipped him 100 euros on a 50 euro check.
