Luckily the waitress was lovely otherwise I would have left without paying. It was the worst Chinese I have ever had in my life and believe me when I say it’s my favourite cuisine . I live in London where the standard of food is high so maybe my expectations were higher than they should have been but the crispy seaweed (€6.90 ) was soggy and bitter. The ribs tasted and smelt like old socks and were so dry you couldn’t get the meat off the bones. I threw one to the stray cat that was hovering and even the cat didn’t eat it. Then came the shredded duck. The sauce wasn’t plum or hoisin it was a thick soy sauce that tasted of garlic and the pancakes were home made (would have been lucky with sugar and lemon) Then came the mains. The sweet and sour prawns were crispy and actually nice ( the ones on the top of the bowl, the underneath were soggy ) the beef with green peppers and onions was like leather, I couldn’t cut it with the knife and my teeth couldn’t get through it either . The special fried rice tasted like uncle bens packet rice . For anyone reading this. I never leave reviews but I had to this time as it was that terrible. Also, the owner / manager was very rude and told me my opinion on his food was wrong as some other customers haven’t complained . Not worth the money . I feel sick after sampling each dish. DONT GO TO...
Read moreTo start with I called to make a reservation as it was a Friday and thought it would be busy, anyway we booked for 7pm and upon arrival there was one other table in the whole establishment. So we ordered our meals, the service was really good as there were two waiters and as the there weren't many tables we had them all to ourselves. Now for the meals.. I found my mixed fried rice slightly undercooked and my beef kung pao lacking flavour to be honest it sort of had the same sauce with the beef and mushrooms we ordered. The new Ramen soup was tasty and that in itself was like a whole meal. The shrimp fried toast and the chicken satay for starters were tasty, but for the main dishes were lacking flavour as compared to other chinese restaurants we have tried. All I can say is give it a go..who knows it might be more to your liking but for me a...
Read moreWell… they tried. Restaurant has Asian style decor. The service was friendly and actually pretty decent. But don’t come here for the food.
Sweet and sour sauce leaves a pretty horrid after taste. The Peking duck was absolutely terrible. Super dry and not the crispy skin of the duck that you would find with normal Peking duck. The wraps were at least home-made but the flavor was off. The chow mein was soggy. The sushi was awful. Unagi was literally drowned in teriyaki sauce and the rice was a giant ball of sticky rice with no flavor.
Best part of the meal was the complimentary bowl of shrimp chips. Fortune cookies at the end were ok too.
Good service but terrible food. They tried. One of the worst tasting meals I’ve...
