Karmela — Restaurant in Limassol Municipality

ugh, where to start... we walked into a completely empty restaurant, so no atmosphere. The table was so sticky, we should have been warned. We ordered two kebabs and two beers. We didn't get a glass with the beer. Even though we were all alone in the restaurant, we waited an awfully long time for our kebabs. When the food was brought to us, it was cold. The pita bread was really cold. We didn't get any plate with our food, so the vegetables were falling on the table. The only positive thing I can say about this place is that the service was nice, even though they didn't bring dishes. And we liked the amount of flowers in the restaurant. I wouldn't recommend anyone...

As seemingly simple as my dish was, this was probably the best meal I've had while in Cyprus. I ordered the chicken schnitzel, and the chicken was tender while the outside was cooked to the most perfect crisp. The salad was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavour. I shamefully do not eat vegetables very much, but the salad here made me want more of it. I had two kinds of sauces. The tahini was the right combination of creamy and savour, and the other was the best blend of spicy. Staff was very friendly and attentive also. Karmela is hands down the standout dining experience in Limassol, deserving every bit of a full 5-star rating. The food absolutely exceeded expectations.

We ordered the Karmela Complete Hummus, Karmela Salad, and Shakshuka – each dish was bursting with flavor and generously portioned. The hummus was creamy and perfectly seasoned, the salad was fresh and vibrant, and the Shakshuka, while slightly smaller in portion, was rich and satisfying.
