The worst pasta carbonara (penne) I have ever tasted in my life and the worst food I have tested in Cyprus. After a few days of Cypriot cuisine, I missed my favorite Italian pasta. So I placed an order yesterday at 21.52. They told me the dish will be ready for takeaway in 15 min. At 22.07 my friend went to pick it and he dropped me at my Airbnb place. I open it at 22.25 and the casserole was still too much hot (at least they have a good microwave), hoping I will have a wonderful quick dinner. When I open it instead of a freshly cooked carbonara full of sauce and flavour I found a very dry pasta, on the top already became brown (it seemed to have been cooked one day before), almost no sauce (just very little on the bottom of the casserole), no trace of eggs in that 10 g of white dry sauce and the bacon seemed to be almost expired, with a weird rubbery texture and no any taste what so ever. This pasta looked awful, it tasted awful (well no taste or flavout at all) and has reached the garbage after the first bite. If they wouldn't close the restaurant at 23.00 I would have taken a cab and I would have gone back to give them that piece of s**t because what they gave me wasn't at all pasta carbonara. If an Italian chef will ever come to work in this restaurant, he will be ashamed to send this kind of dish to a customer. Italian chefs take pride in what they cook. I chose this restaurant because of the reviews. How did they ever got 4.5 stars serving this...
Read moreUPDATE from my previous review: the manager Yiannis (a very pleasant man) has contacted me and we had a good chat about the situation. He offered to organize a dinner (with full GF positions) for me at another restaurant. I even brought my friends. It was a great gesture from the management.
I would note that coeliacs should be extra careful with the allergens in the menu because the staff does not always understand what a coeliac and gluten free mean.
Previous review: I have coeliac disease and the restaurant food caused me infection damage. Several weeks ago I specifically asked a person on the entrance if they had any gluten free positions on the menu. They told me they can make any pasta gluten free. I then asked a chef who was cooking pastas if the sauces had any gluten in it (specifically Arabbiata). He told me there was no gluten in sauces and no gluten in tomato sauce which was used in Arabbiata. Today after an order I receive a call from a restaurant asking about my order and telling me that ALL sauces contain gluten. This is unacceptable. I can’t have any gluten under no circumstances in no amount, but due to the restaurant’s mistake I have eaten gluten in my orders several times for the past 2-3 weeks. Because of that, I broke my crucial gluten free diet and the inflammation caused by gluten will take me 6 months to recover. I’m wondering if this can be taken to court But the food was...
Read moreI am a regular customer who visits your restaurant on a weekly basis. I am writing to express my concerns regarding the pasta and lasagna station. On multiple occasions, I have experienced confusion and chaos in this area. Guests often end up taking the wrong dishes due to a lack of clear order identification. This creates an unsettling experience for everyone involved.
I suggest implementing a system similar to the one used at your burger station. A timer or a ticket system that clearly indicates when an order is ready and specifies its contents would greatly enhance the dining experience. This would not only streamline the process but also ensure that every guest receives their correct order without confusion.
I hope you will consider this feedback as constructive and take the necessary steps to improve the service. Your restaurant has always been a favorite of mine, and I would love to continue enjoying my visits without these concerns.
Thank you for your attention to...
