Boutique Patisserie — Restaurant in Nicosia

The red valvet cake it is probably the WORST sweet experience I ever had. How wrong a sweet can be. And yet, not only was stale but also the ingredients were not balanced. The cake was dry and indifferent and the cream was extremely sweet and untasty. I tried the same cake 8 years ago from B.P. and had nothing to do with what we experienced yesterday. Next time (if ever) we will have only coffee.

Reply to the owner 1: Regardless of the recipe which I am not interested to prove or not if it was the same as 10 years ago, the cake was definitely NOT FRESH!!

Reply to the owner 2: Ok, since you know better and you are not able to handle a bad review, and you elevate my review into a compatriot issue, the cake was absolutely perfect and it is our fault that we didn't like it at all! BTW from your reaction here, I am sure that I couldn't expect more if I was complaining while there. If I would say that :the cake is not fresh" you would say that it is, and if I would say "then we don't like it, we find the cake dry and indifferent and the cream extremely sweet and tasteless", you could say this is our problem. I am sure you can do better than this, both in responses to criticism and cakes!

The place is very dirty and the waiter was chewing gum and not really paying attention to the customers. The drinks got there first and the desserts ten minutes later which is strange because they’re already made and just need to be put on a plate. The plants in the area were not well looked after and overall although it has allot of potential the vibes as a whole aren’t great. Also, quite overpriced for pastries that are overly sweet and stale.

Staff wasn't very friendly, I tried to get some help from the lady behind the counter as I've never been there before but didn't have much luck. The desserts were unfortunately stale, which I understand it happens but it was a let down for the price point.
