Could be more… Should be more.

Although on the 11th floor of the tallest building in the vicinity, Nicosia offers neither the breathtaking views nor any really exceptional architectural significance from above. Yes, some history is recited on tape, and in several languages, and yes, there are binoculars to view any details of the buildings by one's own preference. And no, it's nowhere near as much as any picturesque/historic European capital or even just an architecturally uniform one, or at least green... And that doesn't reflect the relatively rich history of the place (the city has been continuously inhabited for over 4500 years, for instance, with a vast historical array of cultural swaps and former glory, but fleetingly mentioned in unconnected bits of dates and irrelevant information) which is deliberately and conveniently obliterated in its entirety, with mere references to more ideologically ‘important’ areas, while stressing useless and trivial dates and times... Not worth it really. You can get all these references and history (with professional photography to back it up) online. I'm sorry to say that Google in this case seems to provide a richer experience, although neither Google, nor especially the Tower even closely represent the beauty and vastness of the diverse multi-layered multi-composed and multi-cultural history that reflects the city's exciting past. 2 stars only because it offers...

Totalmente...

Unfriendly staff made me feel uncomfortable. There was nobody at the counter when I came, but I was directly informed by a cleaning lady that I will pay as soon as the cashier lady comes (which to me is common sense and the entrance fee was displayed understandably, but the tone seemed harsh to me). I continued to watch the exibithion and was a bit rudely asked later to pay in the middle of video watching. I understand they probably have a history with visitors who did not pay the entrance fee, but to me this kind of behaviour seemed very embarrasing. Windows were not really clean, although interactive info tables, video and timeline wall were good. Overall, I left soon and would not really recommend just because...

Absolutely unfriendly and rude staff (cashier). We came on May 7 at the opening time. Only 10 minutes or even later cashier arrived and opened the space. There was an inappropriate behavior when I paid her attention that there could be more guests if she had been more punctual at her job. I saw that several guys in the line changed their mind and left because there was no certainty if anybody would finally open the spot. It’s a shame to have this kind of personnel at municipal venues with tourists visiting from all over the world. Moreover her reaction made me doubt if she was mentally healthy. Disappointed. The spot itself is quite good. But is not worth waiting for long anyway.

Let's say it's a 360-degree view. 🌍 But overall, it's more like 270°. 🎯 Some parts you can even see for free. 🌿 The entrance fee is only €2.50, which is not much. 💶 The staff was very friendly, 😊 and there was also a short film about the history of the city in several languages. 🎥 I also liked the interactive displays with explanations about the landmarks in the distance. 🏙️ The toilets are on the 9th floor, and you can see most of the western side from there. 🚻
