St. George Restaurant - Tavern — Restaurant in Nicosia

This was one of our favourite places, however our experience is really disappointing the last 2-3 times we visited it. Really expensive considering food quality, quantity and what nearby restaurants offer (ie. Zanettos, Piatsa Gourounaki). For example a small dip of tyorkafteri is 4euros! When it comes to food quality, the dishes we ordered did not have a good taste. They tasted like frozen rather than fresh. Also, the dishes turned from hot to cold in 2 minutes. Souvlaki got "dry" ten minutes after it was served. Live music is performed by the owner who charges an additinal 3eur per person. This doesn't seem nice. Also, regarding the selection of songs and the performer's tone of voice, a professional music performer would have offer a more uplifting music experience. Service. There was only one person serving all tables. Hot wine. While wine is served at the place, at 8.30pm there was only one glass of hot...

First of all I would like to say that ANY reasonable customer would have mentioned something disappointing ON THE SPOT & to the owner DIRECTLY and not hide behind written reviews . I’m AN AMERICAN CYPRIOT and EXTREMELY picky with service . Trust me I always find something wrong 😑 But with this place ..nahhhh ..it was all 🤩 I have been there many times plus in many 5 star restaurants in America and I must say that the food here is DELICIOUS BEYOND ANY IMAGINATION & the service is not like FAST FOOD (COZ ITS FRESHLY MADE BY ORDER) . So .., YES some delay might happen when it’s packed and cooked on the spot but at the end of the day you leave with a happy stomach at reasonable prices . I just left from there ..GAVROS ( as shown in my pic ) is my ADDITION 👍🏼💕...
