Terrible customer service, below average quality and variety of meze.
We visited this Tavern after reading some reviews on TripAdvisor that I m not sure how true they are. We were 4 people and ordered 3 meze after the waitress recommended us not to order more because as she told us the meze of 3 was going to be more than enough for 4 people.
The food: Overall the food was below the average that you can taste on any other Tavern in Omodos and with small variety of dishes in meze.
Customer service: The pork and chicken "suvla" that they supposed to bring never arrived and as they told us afterwards they replaced it with 3 small pieces of chicken and 3 tiny ribs. Although we overpass the whole experience and after we paid, we were waiting for 30 minutes to bring us the lokmades that they never arrived although we asked them two times from the waitor. When we asked for the manager of the place to remind the lokmades, a terrible out of civilised behaviour rudeness started. The manager told us that the lokmades were also finished and instead to just apologise the owner told us with over rudeness to "pay and leave" (we had already paid). After asking them to apologize for the whole experience, they never did it, with the top that the waitress instead of saying sorry she told us to "shut up" in Cypriot dialect.

Read moreWe recently visited this restaurant, and overall, we were quite disappointed with the experience. The interior was actually nice — bright and well-lit — but unfortunately, the service and food didn’t live up to the setting. To begin with, our server rolled her eyes when we tried to explain that one person in our group doesn’t eat dairy or eggs. That reaction made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. As for the food, it was average at best. The pork ribs were extremely fatty, overcooked, and tough to chew — they seemed old and poorly prepared. The salads were made with very basic vegetables, and the tomatoes, although fresh, were of low quality and lacked flavor. The vodka we tried (Zivania) was also disappointing — it tasted unpleasant and seemed like poor quality. The chicken souvlaki was tough and lacked flavor. The fries were overly greasy and tasted like they had been fried in a lot of oil. Even the bread wasn’t pleasant to eat — it wasn’t properly sliced, so we had to tear pieces off, which caused it to crumble and made it messy and inconvenient. Sadly, we wouldn’t recommend this place based on our visit. There’s definitely room for improvement in both service and...
Read moreThank you Kuria Soulla and I think your son?? Unfortunately did not catch his name. We walked in on a very quiet time as one big table had just left and it was only us in the restaurant (my husband, my 17 month old daughter and I) nothing was too much hassle, offered us a dessert and coffee after our lunch on the house, they were very sweet and tolerant with our little one running around. Food came very fast and was delicious!! We even forgot to get a extra bottle of water we asked for before leaving as we had no water in our apartment and they did not let us pay which I thought was very sweet of them!! Kuria soulla thank you for a great lunch and reminding us of what true Cypriot hospitality should be, you are welcome to visit us in Zakynthos whenever you...
