⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Old Town's Best Kept Secret (Until Now)
Stumbled into Beatriz Kafeneion while wandering Paphos Old Town and honestly? I'm mad I didn't find it sooner. This place is what a proper Cypriot kafeneion should be – no tourist traps, no overpriced nonsense, just genuine vibes and excellent coffee.
Had a cappuccino and a frappe, both spot-on. The coffee quality here isn't playing games – they actually know what they're doing behind that machine. The atmosphere is refreshingly calm, a proper escape from the busy harbour crowds. You can actually hear yourself think, which in Old Town Paphos is basically a miracle.
Staff are genuinely friendly without being overly fussy – that perfect balance where you feel welcome but not suffocated. Clearly locals know what's up because this isn't some random tourist pit stop.
Pro tip: Grab a seat outside if the weather's decent. Perfect for people-watching and soaking up that authentic Old Town energy. This is the kind of spot you'll want to return to every morning of your trip. ☕🇨🇾

Read moreI arranged a lunch party for 25 people in Beatriz. Socrates (the owner) and the whole team were amazing and took care of every detail, making us feel pampered. The food was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Every dish we tried was a hit, from the fresh ntakos to the homemade souvlakia and panceta. Portions were generous and very reasonably priced, making it a great spot for both quality and value.
What truly made the evening special was the live music. The performers added a wonderful touch without being overwhelming—just the right volume to enjoy while still being able to chat at the table. It really elevated the whole dining experience and created a lively yet relaxed ambiance.
This place is a real treasure for anyone looking for a relaxed and memorable meal in a friendly setting. Whether you're out with family or meeting friends, it’s a spot you’ll want to return to again and again. Highly...
Read moreWe recently visited Beatriz in Paphos after seeing all the glowing 4.7-star reviews, but unfortunately our experience didn’t match the hype. The atmosphere is undeniably charming — it’s a lovely venue in the old town with a great vibe — but the food was very underwhelming.
The only dishes we truly enjoyed were the tzatziki (hard to get wrong) and the pork barbecue, which was decent. Everything else was disappointing. The kids’ menu was particularly bad — the burger patty was dry, flavorless, and mismatched in size to the bun. Our child refused to eat it, only picking at a few French fries.
The mussels my wife ordered were bland and forgettable, lacking any real flavor. The Greek salad was also tasteless and uninspired.
Overall, if you’re looking for authentic, flavorful food in Paphos, there are plenty of better choices. While the setting is beautiful, we regret spending our money here. It’s more style...
