We visited Honey Restaurant in the charming Old Town of Paphos with high expectations. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from start to finish.

From the moment we were seated, things felt off. The main waiter approached us with exaggerated enthusiasm, almost dancing, with a high-pitched voice. His behavior seemed more like an act than genuine hospitality and exposed a clear lack of training in fine dining service. His overly theatrical manner, which he turned on and off inconsistently, quickly became annoying rather than welcoming.

We waited quite a while before anyone came to take our order, even after we asked for service. This lack of attentiveness set the tone for the evening. Later, we also had to wait again for an extra bottle of water we ordered, and once more when we asked for the bill, twice. Each of these delays reflected poor service coordination and a lack of professional oversight.

As we settled in, we noticed we were both uncomfortable resting our arms on the placemats due to their odd, unpleasant texture. It was a small but telling detail that contributed to an underwhelming start. Looking around, we noticed other elements—glasses, salt and pepper trays, and general tableware—appeared low quality, more akin to what you'd find at a discount store than in an upscale restaurant.

Bread and butter were served, but even this was underwhelming. The butter was so lightly flavored it was practically tasteless, offering no sense of indulgence or richness.

The rest of the staff reinforced the impression of poor training. A young male waiter seemed unsure of himself and often responded awkwardly, while a female staff member remained completely silent throughout. None of the team projected confidence or attentiveness, essential traits in a fine dining environment.

When it came to the food, the small portion sizes weren’t the issue, it was the simplicity and lack of refinement that disappointed us, especially given the pricing.

The octopus with fava was just a small scoop of what tasted like store-bought fava, topped with two small pieces of octopus and a few drops of vinaigrette on the side. There was nothing to enhance or elevate the dish.

The veal cheeks were soft but bland, served in a basic gravy. We had to heavily salt it ourselves to make it enjoyable. Two or three small vegetables would’ve added texture and contrast.

The shrimp with avocado was literally plain shrimp on top of plain pieces of avocado, again drizzled with that same vinaigrette, no seasoning, no creativity.

The “whole calamari” turned out to be two and a half small baby calamari with a lemon sauce so overpowering it with lemon, which masked any subtlety in the seafood.

The morel mushrooms were among the better dishes, with good flavor, but due to their texture and the richness of the sauce, they felt incomplete. They needed a base like rice or puree to bring balance.

At one point, we overheard the waiter returning to the table next to us to inform them that two of the dishes they ordered were no longer available. This was relatively early in the evening and the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, another clear sign of poor kitchen and service management.

The location itself is lovely, tucked into the heart of the Old Town. However, the ambiance was undermined by noise from the square, including the presence of many young children. While this isn’t the restaurant’s fault, it certainly detracted from the kind of immersive, refined experience that fine dining promises. Perhaps the should focus only in indoor tables being served.

In conclusion, the whole experience felt like a subpar imitation of upscale dining. From the poorly trained staff and slow service to the uninspired dishes and lack of attention to detail, we left feeling like we had paid for something authentic but received a cheap copy instead. We will not...

Excellent atmosphere, it was cozy and nice in the heart of old town. The hostess/waiter was pretty friendly and very helpful whenever needed, either serving wine or food, always with a smile and with a good mood! From food, the menu has a variety of options, exotic nuvelle and classic.

The price was decent for the concept of the restaurant

The capers in beef tartare were A LOT and I couldnt recognise the taste of other elements. The scallop-salmon ceviche had a unique flavor but it wasn’t cut cubes like a classic ceviche but lines/stripes. The halibut was tasteless and expected more flavor The ribeye was ordered medium-rare and was rightfully cooked, perfect potato purée all balanced excellent and complete! The veal cheeks had perfect cook process, not too much pulled or undercooked with nice sauce. The tiramisú didn’t remind of a classic but it had a sweet flavor in the taste palatte and ended the...

Went there yesterday. Don't misunderstand my notation we had a really good time but 5 stars must be perfect. It wasn't but it was really nice. Food is good. Products are high quality. We noticed the Angus carpaccio a bit too salty. We informed the staff about our opinion in a constructive way. Foie gras is delicious and top dish in my opinion. Foie gras always has been one of my favourite and l can say that they have top quality Foie gras. The other dishes are good. I am not easy going and picky for food. The service is very good, the servers are present, sometimes maybe a biiiit too much, l assume because it was not busy....but seriously they are very nice, very friendly and good professional. You have a very good team and we had a very good moment at your place, let's hope that we'll have the opportunity to come back again.

Lovely place in the Old Center of Pafos. We’ve been here before and our yesterday’s visit was again a great pleasure. The restaurant is located in the local style stone building. There are seats outside among green trees and inside. The staff was helpful and attentive. As far as food is concerned everything was high quality. We had a tartar trio, oysters, soup of the day (with mussels), octopus and rolled veal. We also received a compliment from the chef - fish panacota. That was a pleasant surprise. But our kids were not so lucky with there food. They didn’t finish chicken nuggets, it was not tasty at all (one of older experts confirmed it) It’s a high class place that we recommend for a fine dine. Highly recommend!
