I booked this apartment only because its like 15-20min from new Karavella bus station. Just because of that.
For the owner. Please do not take this review as something horrible, that i want to destroy your reputation, i don't. Every bad review is a chance to get better, its a blessing from god. Think about it that way : What can i do better?
I was displeased with a lot of things.
First of all, we booked an apartment that we did not get at all. There were supposed to be two single beds, and instead, we were given a double bed. The apartment in the photos on Booking was completely different from the one we actually received. I told myself, okay, I’ll survive one night.
As for the availability of supermarkets and similar amenities, it is almost completely cut off from the world. Nothing normal is available, you have to go a long way to find anything.
Also, out of two air conditioners, only one works.
When we arrived, the refrigerator was unplugged, presumably so you could plug it in and it would be cold in about an hour. The refrigerator was so small that I can't imagine how a potential family with children will store anything in it.
There is construction work opposite the apartment, which causes noise. Nobody warned us about this. Of course, the owner cannot be blamed for the construction, but what he can be blamed for is not informing us about it on booking (despite his words under some of the reviews: "we are clear in everything on a line"). If I had known this in advance, I wouldn't have booked any of these apartments. I'm not coming to a construction site, but on vacation to relax. So anyone coming can expect construction work to continue for another year or two.
The shower curtain is loosely placed on the edges of the tiles, and the sink is also loose and not securely attached. Better don’t touch it.
This apartment is also not among the cleanest, with various hairs and bugs (which I had to kill).
On the balcony, in direct sunlight, there is a gas canister, which is not safe at all and more than even it is exposed to 35-degree sun all day.
The reception, which the owner mentions in his comments below some of the reviews, is actually just a table downstairs by the pool.
Overall, good for one night stay.
Lastly: we booked 2 nights, 1 from 9-10.6.24 and second from 14-15.6.24, we cancelled the second night because of the things above. However we didn’t receive money back and all this despite that the owner always says in the comments below some reviews that you have the right to cancel. So now you...
Read moreMyself and my lady stayed here 3rd week in January. We received a warm welcome from reception staff who couldn't do enough for us. All the staff remained exceptionally helpful throughout our stay and we couldn't wish for more.
We would thoroughly recommend the premium self-catering apartments as these are in a separate block and very modern, exceptionally clean and many freshly decorated. We were lucky to stay in Number 12 which we believe to be the largest apartment with a HUGE balcony overlooking the front rather than the rear pool-side, don't think about swimming at this time of year – it's way to chilly for us brits!
Be warned of the many stairs to the Premium apartments - not good for wheelchair access or those who hate hiking!
Panklitos is well situated being only 2 mins (car) from the main Tombs of the Kings stretch and in a quiet region set back from the hussle and bussle.
There is limited under building parking (possibly for Premium only) which we used, the remainder is road-side so ask for a space underneath 😉
The apartment had a separate bedroom, albeit way too small, bathroom including bath and shower (reasonable size) and felt plush. Hot water wasn't a problem at all as the room included a heater button (immersion) which could be activated when required. Bedroom has clean and beautiful bedding.
Don't let the following minor suggestions put you off – this was a lovely place and should we revisit Cypress, deffo our number one place to stay.
Suggestions/feedback:
An inventory and checks before guest arrival - there were missing pots and pans, little or no lids.
Note no Air-con in the lounge.
No washing-up cloths, very few matches to light the gas cooker.
Gas cooker failed upon first ignition, receptionist quick to respond and change gas bottle – thank you.
No bath plug, quickly rectified.
No dust pan and brush meant floor quickly become messy with cooking.
Missing pillows.
All in all a wonderful hotel – THANK YOU...
Read moreWe booked 3 nights in 2020 over the phone, the lady on the phone was very friendly and told us that they will show us several rooms on our arrival because we asked her to book a safe room as our son was 17 month at that time. The total rate was 94 for 3 nights. We arrived around 4 pm, from the outside the place looked nice and cozy with some plants. The pool was not so big but looked nice and is enough for a quick dive and relaxing. On our arrival we were asked to pay the full amount then were led to a very hot and old dirty room! You can tell it was not cleaned for ages! Spider nets and dead insectes all over the corners, windows' frames and behind doors. Hair in the corners. The fridge was broken inside out; it doesn't close properly and the freezer's door is totally broken. There was mold on the broken floor where fridge is placed. All taps had limescale built up. The room has an equipped kitchen, but the pots were burned and the tefal pot was scratched all over which make it not suitable for usage! An hour later, my husband went down and searched for someone at the reception to change the room (yes you have to search for someone). He was shown another room, way better and cleaner but of course much more expensive (even though we were told on the phone that there are other rooms with the same rate we were offered and that we will be able to choose between them). We had no choice but to stay, specially that we paid for the entire stay. During our stay we didn't meet any of the workers, no one asked about our feed back. No one cleaned the room, and nobody showed up to pick up the trash so we had to do it ourselves though it's mentioned that it's picked up daily. My toddler accidentally broke a glass jar and we had to improvise cleaning and picking up the broken glass because, again, we couldn't find any help! Yes it's an affordable option but nevertheless they should offer a minimum level of cleanliness...
