Shame on you Cafe Nero - Paphos!!
I use Cafe Nero often and have never had a reason to complain. However, this complaint is about how the staff in this Cafe Nero treated two people with disabilities when I was there.
One of the customers was in a wheelchair and her husband was walking with two arm crutches. He managed to carry the food to there table but asked the girl who served him if she would carry his drinks for him. She refused, saying she was not allowed to leave the cash point unattended. There were four other members of staff just standing chatting in a group, no assistance was given. The few customers that were there helped carry the drinks for him. I think everyone was shocked at what we witnessed.
It was absolutely shocking that the staff treated the two individuals in such a horrible way. They were not causing a fuss, just asking for a little help, that would have taken less than 30 seconds.
I hope that the Senior Management team read this review and arrange quickly staff training or employ members of staff that know how to give professional caring customer service.
Paphos is the most amazing place and this service is not the norm for this Island but then most cafe's and restaurants here, are not part of an...
Read moreVisited this Neros on a visit to Paphos yesterday as it was a familiar coffee shop and wanted something quick and refreshing. Although I understand there is some restoration work, the service was really really slow. The member of staff come across very much that she didn’t want to be there and was talking quite abruptly and shouting across the counter to another member of staff to help out when he was clearly already engaging in a conversation with a guy doing the restoration work. Also didn’t like that the staff were itching their heads and touching the bins to put the rubbish in and then proceed to make the drinks. Was an odd experience and felt like it was quite a tense feeling going on in there. Felt sorry for the trainer barista. It was also interesting that the disabled toilet was labelled as ‘handicapped’ I understand that this may just be a cultural difference and may be acceptable here but genuinely thought for a neros it may be avoided as it’s quite an...
Read morePerched high in the old town of Paphos, Caffè Nero Dioikitiria offers more than just your standard coffee shop experience—it presents stunning views that sweep down towards the sea. The elevated location is not only a feast for the eyes but also provides a serene escape from the bustling harbour below.
Service at Caffè Nero Dioikitiria is swift, which was particularly appreciated on a hot day with temperatures soaring to 35°C. The options for seating are versatile: you can choose to enjoy the coolness of the air-conditioned indoors, bask in the sun outside, or, as I did, relax in the shade accompanied by the soothing sounds of a nearby water feature.
Although it’s a bit of a trek from Paphos harbor—about a 33-minute walk—the final part of the journey is made easier with the help of a glass elevator. For those like me who appreciate a coffee paired with a breathtaking view, Caffè Nero Dioikitiria is...
