Read moreHad a take out from here last night. Cracking vindaloo with 10, yes 10 pieces of succulent chicken inside. Only downside was the meat samosas were tiny. Should be 4 in a portion that size. Overall decent. Other dishes ordered were also of high quality.
Edit: This is an edit of an already glowing review. Consistency, consistency, consistency. They have not cut corners, they have not changed their recipes to save on costs, they have continued to make excellent BIR style curries.
Possibly the best Madras outside of Chennai itself. Vibrant tangy flavours, with subtle hints of mustard seed and curry leaves with a fiery kick.
The butter chicken and passanda were rich, buttery with a mild spice and sweetness, along with the breads, rice dishes and naan breads, everything was spot on. Special mention to the aloo tikki which was an explosion of flavours with a lovely sweet, sour and tangy zip which left you wanting more. This place beats all the other Curries i've had locally, hands down. Keep up the excellent works...
Read moreWe have been going here for 3 years eating in and takeaways twice a week. Last visit sat down without a reservation told booking for 10 arriving and would be slow, no problem we said. Then the group showed up with 18 people. We were then told by a girl who acted very unprofessional that we had the table for 1 hour only. I understand the economics of serving so many people rather than 2, but she could have told the truth that the kitchen couldn't cope with the amount of orders. The food takes at least 45 minutes to come out normally, she then took away our menus and said you can have it for 1 hour or go away. We left and went to The Curry House in Paphos the meal was excellent and cheaper than the Maharaja even with their supposed 30% discount in the Maharaja. The service was excellent the staff we're very polite and chatty in the Curry House. We have now found a better Indian restaurant in the...
