Came here for some milk for my kid. It was 9 am on a weekday, totally empty (not a single customer), and the owners (presumably) were sitting outside. The guy refused to sell me a cup. Flat out refused. First jokingly saying just walk five minutes to the bakery and it’ll be cheaper there. I said no my kid is crying and I will pay whatever, and was jokingly bantering back as I couldn’t imagine he was serious. But nope he was straight up serious and refused. Not sure if he was racist or just lazy to break from his cigarette, but this awful encounter would make me never return. There are enough amazingly rated restaurants here to never eat here. Mind you this is my first morning in Cyprus and that was my experience. We went to tons of cafes/restaurants all over Europe and there was never any fuss about providing milk (usually free of charge, but we never expected that, always ready to pay). Son had a ham sandwich and couldn't eat it, halloumi pitta was ok but a bit heavy, lamb was nice but needed some sauce with it and the pepper chicken was more pepper than chicken and was an odd flavour. Portions were a good size but not worth the cost, just because of the flavours. Staff were friendly enough. Toilets were 100 degrees(!) and needed to shine a torch to find the light switch. Read moreTip top if you fancy a full English: a very generous plate and the best one I've had on Cyprus....🙂 The place was roomy and comfortable, and the owners attentive, efficient and friendly. I liked the outside seating, with areas of shade and bright light. We've decided to make our visits here more frequent, because of the high quality of food and service. On the bar, there was a vast array of wines and spirits. I imagine that this is a very lively place in the middle of a vibrant hub, which is "The Tomb of The Kings Road" ..........
