Rizokarpaso fish tavern — Restaurant in Paphos Municipality

In a nutshell: The food was amazing, but the service was very unfriendly. I asked for a table for one (the restaurant was empty as they had just opened a few minutes earlier), and the waitress told me that I should check the menu first, in case I didn’t like the prices. This was very rude. I don’t look like a homeless person, and outside there’s a huge menu board where you can check the prices before entering the restaurant. I was considering leaving right then, but I decided to stay because I was very hungry.

I ordered grilled octopus, which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chips were a bit oily. The lady was unfriendly the entire time; I had the feeling that I was bothering her. I don’t know what’s behind this attitude, but the owner will lose customers if...

If you are looking for FRESH LOCALLY CAUGHT FISH, then this is the place for you. It's not in the touristy part of town, and is frequented by local Cypriots. No airs and graces, just excellent simply cooked fish. It isn't the best looking Tavern so you might be tempted to overlook it, but it'll be a pity! The food was amazing and the fish was all fresh!! These might be some of the best prawns I've had - a bit messy to prepare, but it was worth it!

The salmon pasta is also a must try and the village salad exquisite!
