Family of 6, Mum, Dad, 3 boys and girl.

I'd like to apologise for my spelling and grammer now.

After walking the full length of the main walk way to the harbour we decided to go into sail at castle, the main reason was the easy selling from the guys stood outside and the overall feel of the restaurant from looking in. The decision was my 16 year old who birthday it was.

The food was amazing, the cocktails were impressive and the service was great.

We ordered 2 kids Mac and cheese, the wagyu burger with house chips, lamb kebab with truffle chips, carbonara, fillet steak with pepper sauce and truffle chips, lamb kebab with truffle chips, 2 sides of hallumi cheese. We had 5 different cocktails and the best for us was the tiki one.

Every last piece of food was eaten, my 16 year old who's birthday it was said "it was the best meal he has ever had" which was a great surprise.

We had a small issue were the pepper sauce for the steak was different to what we were expecting (something like a peppercorn sauce in miller and carter/prime) but it was served as a red sauce, we raised it with the waiting staff and asked for another sauce and explained it was our mistake and we just needed another sauce which they were more than happy to bring another one very quickly. To my surprise the manager/owner also came over and checked that everything was OK, we told him that the staff were sorting the sauce and the mistake was ours and what we expected was a creamy style peppercorn sauce, he then proceeded to ask if we would like that style sauce which we said yes and he made some up specialy for my wife. The sauce was very nice and possibly better than the one we are used to back in the UK.

Incredible service, food and location.

We are on holiday for 7 days and this was been the treat of the stay upto yet.

Edit - Thanks you for making my sons 16th birthday meal a memorable one, the cake, candle and happy birthday song was a...

10/10 on all levels! This restaurant is the gem on the harbour by the fort next to the boats and offers everything you could ask for to have a relaxing pit stop, long lunch or evening meal! Popped in for a coffee on our way to check out the heritage site of mosaics by the harbour. We were so impressed we came back for lunch and were not disappointed! Great menu, breakfast and brunch or a more comprehensive choice for lunch and dinner! The prices were reasonable for such fabulous food which was excellently presented. Three of us shared starters of mixed dips and pitta and Peking Duck Pancakes, 2 each. I wish I had taken a photo as it was so appetizing and just bought for a light lunch! Such terrific service with employees who obviously enjoy their job and bought humour to the table! Got to mention the harbour side views and such comfortable seating plus if it’s chilly the glass enclosure is brilliant and allows you to still enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurants great position without sitting in the wind or rain! Finally, the restroom was an experience all of its own! Easy to access by a sweeping staircase and hand rail it was very clean when we first visited at 11.00am and when we returned at 2.30 it had been cleaned again and bins emptied. Great selection of soap, paper towels and hand cream and automatic taps with everything you need to refresh. Mirrors and comfy seating also provided gave the area a relaxed and not a clinical feeling too. Importantly the toilet cubicles were a good size with coat / bag hooks and the toilet was sturdy and higher than normal so easy to sit and stand up again for those with sensitive knees after a long walk!! I was also impressed when I went to pay for our coffees I gave a €50 note which the waiter popped into a machine by the counter, out popped my exact change and receipt so not a chance of being given the wrong change! So as I said at the...

Lovely restaurant, in fact I’d say one of the best presented restaurants on the marina; the staff are lovely and well presented too. Clean environment even down to the toilets. Our only disappointment after a week of eating at other local venues was the price compared to the quality of the food. While all of the food was edible, its was all very sub average. The biggest disappointment was the bbq ribs that were tough to get off the bone; dry to eat; and had a very basic presentation. It came with, what was described as, a jack daniels bbq sauce but, in reality, tasted like a cheap bbq sauce. When you’re paying €20+ for a dish then you add two side dishes at €8+ each you expect the quality of food to match the venue. Sadly, with great disappointment, it did not. The espresso martinis (while not on the menu) were made for us. Again inconsistent, the first one being full of flavour and punchy, while the second one was lacklustre and watery. Great place for a beer, but there are way better food venues along the front. For example: Alea Cafe lounge bar, the ribs here fall off the bone and have tons of meat on them. After a €160 bill for two people to have two courses and two drinks we wouldn’t eat here again sadly. Especially when a similar meal out along the harbour would be a fraction of the price for often better quality food (avg. spend previously €60-70/night)

This restaurant has so much going for it. It's in a fabulous position right on the harbour. It's probably the smartest looking restaurant down there. Even the toilets are amazing as other reviewers have pointed out! The staff are lovely, very helpful, polite and attentive. We popped in for an iced coffee and baclava around lunchtime during a walk and decided we should try it for dinner. So why only 3 stars? The answer is simple, the food left something to be desired! I'm sure the fact that there was a wedding party and another large table had something to do with it, but we waited over an hour for our food only to find it was only just warm and the fish was very boney. Our waiter was mortified and couldn't have apologised more, but the damage was done and a free ice cream didn't quite make up for it I'm afraid. Other reviewers have said how much they enjoyed their meals and I can believe that. But I can only rate on our experience and sadly whilst our food was certainly edible, it wasn't enjoyable. I'd like to think we were just unlucky because this place and the people who work there deserve to be successful.
