We live in paphos, the Moorings has been a place we’ve been going to for awhile since our kids enjoy the playground. The prices are fair, the food not really. Our kids are picky eaters so from the kids menu we tried their pasta, hotdog, and nuggets. My daughter like to eat her nuggets without the “skin”(meaning the fried breadcrumbs so we always peel it for her) Their nuggets are purple-brown (inside). Lately we’ve gone and each time we had to ask for a menu, then if we can order, and ask again as our kids are thirsty and hungry. The last time we ordered and waited more than an hour it was getting late we were even thinking to just take it to go. Today we went there and we had 2 I cream cups which we were holding from earlier (I know it’s not aloud , we weren’t going to consume them but we kept it in case the kids were going to ask for them). The waiter/manager saw us and shouted no you are not aloud to bring it here! We said yes we know we’ll take it out. He kept saying “you’re in a restaurant you cannot bring it here!” The kids (2&3 year old) ran towards the play area as we thought we’d get seated and he just ignored us rudely. I asked, can I order? He insisted we cannot. I nicely asked: can we order food for the kids as last time we waited more than an hour. His response was : yes and tonight will be more than an hour because we’re busy. We had to take our kids out of there crying. I do not recommend that...
Read moreFound The Moorings on first day in Paphos and it was amazing, tried a couple of other dining options but nothing compared to the service, food and atmosphere here.. The service was impeccable and friendly, the food outstanding on every visit. Had breakfast, lunch and dinners here and each one was first class. All the staff were really friendly Simi the lovely waitress from Nepal was a joy and we loved her manner and interactions, and Tony the front of house/greeter was always so professional and courteous, we learned he'd visited our home town ( Ashington ) on a visit to the UK to see friends himself 30 years ago 🤔🤔 Wow such a small world really... On a whole l/we cannot recommend The Moorings highly enough, and if in Paphos it will definitely be the place to eat once more 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you to all the staff for a fantastic experience while...
Read moreI walked to Paphos Harbour from my hotel which was about a 40 min walk away. The harbour is absolutely stunning with many restaurants as you walk up and down. I walked past every single one until I reached The Moorings Cafe Restaurant as it just looked inviting. Service was great, I think my drink came within 3 minutes of me sitting down and it was huge, I ordered a cocktail which took me ages to drink there was so much of it. I ordered the halloumi salad which was very nice, the perfect amount of salad to the halloumi. After I ate, I just sat in the sun watching people go by, it was very nice. I came at lunch time so I couldn't tell you the atmosphere as there weren't many people there but I can tell you the waiting staff were attentive...
